milos wrote:I agree on this. ever since this was introduced i cannot recognize the game anymore. it is crazy. so many slow balls of the normal and topspin balls. the game is way to hard for us average users, and it favors those who are good at it anyway.

i found myslef not playing the game for days after the latest changes. they are deffinetly for the worse.

Dude, I played a quick set with you recently - your problem aren't off centered balls, it's your movement...The reduction of speed in the off centered balls is rather minor...

@vamos: It's easy to pass on clay  Harder on IH/grass

manutoo don't listen to these people, they've all gone mental. The fact is your movement / footwork is bad so you can't use the regular angle shots which is the arrow up. I mean in real life tennis you don't hit shots with your stomach

unfortunatelly in this game if you dont use 100% power you will be a big 0 ... in online mode... why you cant do something manutoo? this game its not realistic because of this....

ok, boy, you first need to grow up. this is a public board, and watch your language.

@Stajus, I am sure this new rule suits your game plan (which is punch, punch punch punch, and more punch), so please dont analyze my game, and should instead get off my case. you seem to always have something to add to any of my posts here.

To all who take this too personally: I have been playing this game for 5 years, and paying for every single version since v2006, so I think I have the right to point out the things I dont like in some updates. if I am used to a certain way of playing I dont think I need to change it every single time a new version is out, and it seems it is all a change - just for the sake of a change, even if it is for the worse.

the slow ball on normal strike and on topspin is only suitable for those players who use a "brainless ballbashing" - type of game, and for anyone who (like me) wants to have more then 4-5 shot rally, and wants to build up the point it is impossible, because now, you have to play every shot to the perfection, and it seems to me it is now over-realistic. after all we are not professional tennis players.

this will be my last post on the subject, as some people here seem to think they own the board, and just because they are loud, think they are right. I will continue to follow the game's progression, and if I continue to not like the way it is directed, I simple will not pay for a next update...

dear turd the fact is defending is too easy, in my opinion lots of people would agree with me. I played as defender for the first half 2010, and i'm sorry for my opponents. I know how it sucks to play against someone with a speed / top spin bonus. Defenders can play with the arrow keys only and that's it. And i'm very sorry if my age doesn't suit your problems. Maybe you should try to play the game instead of changing it, we can't all cry about our problems when something doesn't suit us, manutoo can't please everybody and certainly not weak minded turds like you. And i stand by you can't hit the ball with your stomach what the hell is wrong with that? No one can do that in real life and most people are complaining about unrealistic gameplay. But come to me in real life and hit a chest 150km shot just with your muscles then i'll personaly contact manutoo about this issue

ohh no.. what will manutoo do when we all know you're payment is crucial for manutoos struggle of surviving

@Milos: Dude, over 90% of your shots in the set with me were accelerations...the problem is your movement  That's all I'll say - we both know I'm right :blackeye: And infact I used more variety than you did, with shorter shots and net approaches, while you just "punch" and then you even complain...And I'm commenting on your posts mainly because you're trying to change the game because you aren't very good at it, instead of learning how to move better before complaining

Mr.Schmith is banned for 5 days Profanity/Insult ... You should show a little bit of respect to other people who disagree with you...

Krisztian J.,
actually, in real tennis, power & regularity own the court. That's what changed the face of tennis since the 80's.
Playing with Elite mode may give the possibility to play with 90% power & 100% in consistency/precision without being much disadvantaged against 100% power players, though.

milos,
the slowdown is really noticeable only when you hit with your body, try to hit with the racket (even not the center of it), and the difference won't be that annoying...

Private jokes based on insult/profanity are for MSN chat, not for the Official TE New Version topic.
