Just tried again and the match was completely normal speed, no slow mo..the update feels great when seen in normal conditions. I don't know what is causing the slow motion, it's definitely not normal lag.

Online : Max Delay raised to 200ms (from 117ms) allowing to play with 400ms ping with minimal lag ; above 117ms of Delay, the game slows down a bit, up to ~20% with a 200ms Delay to give you a bit more time to react ; also, with 200ms Delay, this is pretty hard to volley, so the default Max Ping on Host creation is still 250ms ; if you want to change it, you have to activate the "Advanced Options" in the "Misc Menu"

I wonder if the aforementioned slow motion is due to the maximum delay being raised? I haven't played a single match that is NOT extremely slow since the latest update, regardless of the ping. This favours people with slower reflex who take longer time to get in position to prepare for their shots but frustrates players whose game depends on their agility and variety of shot-making. I may stop playing online after all if this doesn't get fixed soon.

everybody noticing slowdown:
1- Could you check what is the Delay (by pressing F4 & looking down right) ? Is the Delay above half of the ping ?
2- Do you see the turtle icon on top right ? and/or the red-crossed cable ?
3- Do the sound fx play weirdly ?
4- If you have the FPS counter shown (from "Misc Options" menu, available when "Advanced Options" are on), is it still at ~60 ..?

Srle, when the Service Consistency is equal or lower than the Power then the % of serves in didn't change ; it's still 70% if equal, and lower than that if below.

Brecht, I still can't reproduce it, but I'm pretty sure it's coz the serve is too short, so it'll be fixed with next Build.

Stajus, yup, I'll lower the frequency of balls just clipping the net when doing a wrong volley

Tennischampion, B1 Serves in has dropped by only 1 or 2%. And B1 = Safe 1st serve, not Safe 2nd serve...

CC, thx for jumping in the conversation, but I think what users report now is unrelated to the problem u faced in the past...

manutoo does height effect the serve? i felt like when i use tall players i serve pretty ok but when i serve with small players my serve becomes lot difficult.just want to know which height is good for serve.i think it effects a bit

You are probably right. I wasn't implying that this is related to the same problem. I was mainly saying that it is similar in that some people say they have no problem, but at least one does have a problem. I know what that feels like. Also, it is similar in that this slowness happens in online games, is probably a lag issue (or the games' not handling it properly), and that it makes things very hard for one player (maybe both?). Maybe no one will be told that the problem is their PC or connection (unless it is). The update is nice, though (once the bugs are worked out, it will be great).

i think the slow motion is just like normal lagg changed to delay and the only critisism i can come up with is manutoo u have made so many forehand and service styles and thats great but only two backhand styles.. maybe make some more for the next update if u can

Richou yeah, I got the overly good dropshots balanced and some almost insignificant change to serve and volley, wow the whole game is now changed according to my will.

Replay of saved matches (of this version) doesn't work for me with this version, as someone else posted. When I click the Match button to start playing the saved match, I hear the beep for the click, but then nothing else happens (screen doesn't change); I have to end the process.

Also, in my System.log are these messages:
Warning: can't find language file 'Menu\lang_.txt' !!
Info: can't find Country List file 'Data\Countries_.Txt' (On my system, this file seems to be: Countries_English.txt).

Are these significant?

okay so can anyone give me a step by step of how im supposed to transfer my old games. Im tired of downloading every new version and having to create a whole new character all over again and start over on the world tour. Please someone help

Just install the new version in the same directory as the previous one.

omg this is so annoying i did that and now its saying that i have 14 evaluation days left even though i bought it already. For whatever reason this game and updates just dont like me

Update: I copied and pasted my reg key so its good again but still no old games or characters. I guess ill just never update the game again because thats rediculous

aboyd4, did u really install the game over your current installation, without uninstall it anything at 1st ..?

CC, the problem with the language shouldn't do much (the game default back to English), but it means u're likely using a corrupted .ini , so it'd be better to use a freshly installed "Tennis.ini" instead.
and Recording is fixed in new build, thx to have reported this bug..!

Mr.Schmith, actually, I didn't do any new 2H-BH coz all the players I did services & FHs lately have almost all identical 2H-BH...
