I am using a 2 button logic tech mouse.

I am looking for tips on best play and shot selection.

not really sure if I am doing it correctly

Hello,

mouse works with the same principles than the keyboard (except you can't redefine anything).
Your 2 mouse buttons are Fire 1 & Fire 2, and you can press them together to get Fire1+2.
When you press the buttons, you can move your mouse up or down to select your strike. The dot will become an arrow when you have activated a direction. So for example : Left Mouse Button + Moving down = top spin strike.

excellent.........I did not know that........moving up or down when striking.

can't wait to try that.

Just for the sake of clarity : you have to move the mouse down as soon as possible till the dot become an arrow, and after that, you don't have to move it down anymore... :)
