When playing with a mouse, if the visual cursors are enabled, a service preview is shown for the server that makes it extremely easy to hit an ace. That is neat. I don't know whether or not this visual cursor would display in an online game as I haven't tested it. Once I have practiced more with a mouse, I think I would turn off that visual cursor, anyway.
One thing with the mouse, though, is that I can't seem to adjust the settings so that the control of player movement is like that with the keyboard. The best example I think that I can give is that with the keyboard, I can quickly depress left and right sequentially, and the player almost shakes -- really neat animation. It requires I think to much horizontal movement with the mouse to come close to replicating this. I've tried all of the filter settings, adjusting the sensitivity, and adjusting the pointer speed in the Control Panel applet. Is there something that I am missing? Also, with the mouse, the blue visual cursor can be moved so much more quickly than the player can move, and sometimes if the visual cursor is put "off of the screen," the player doesn't respond and the cursor has to be moved into a visible area and then moved again for the player to follow.
