FPS drop

Postby EtBIM » 09 Jun 2014, 17:54

Hi,

This issue is driving me crazy. I'm playing mostly vs bot, and 2/3 the time the game runs smoothly. And then the other 1/3 it just lags big time, even though Fraps still report ~60 FPS. I have an i7 CPU and GTX 770, so i don't understand why it's happening. I also have 2 screens, and I'm running the game in windowed mode on the main one. When it starts dropping FPS, double clicking the window (reducing or enlarging the window) stops the lag. The game is using like 5% CPU load and there's nothing else using all the CPU power. The GPU load is at 40% while it's core clock is auto downclocked to 135 Mhz.
Please help me fix this.

Regards

Hello,

are you playing with a gamepad or joystick ? If yes, then does pressing a key when FPS drop fixes the situation ? If yes, then it could be because of some power saving mode triggering.
Did you turn on FPS counter within the game (in Misc Options) ? Does it also report ~60 like Fraps ?

Thanks for your answer.

No i'm playing with the keyboard. The FPS counter shows 56 and 62 FPS alternatively. I tried changing graphic options to low, resize the game and stuff but nothing works.

Oh actually when the slowness happens, TenninsElbow.exe uses 1-2% CPU load instead of 5% when it doesn't

Try this => topic5-16488.php .
Also try to set AllowSleep to 0 in your Tennis.ini, to see if it changes this behavior or not.
