You have to activate the "Advanced Options" to see the number of sets when starting a new game ; else, you can change the number of sets before each match, in the Match Preview screen.

From what I've experienced, if you compete against the higher levels (master/Incredible or even a Pro level AI opponent with souped-up volley skills) if you only have very weak, minimal skills and speed/stamina (5% or 10%) it's extremely difficult if not almost impossible to pass OR lob the AI at all. Trying to VOLLEY with those weak skills against the AI is a JOKE!!! I don't understand for the life of me why so many people feel that it's OK to have superb groundstroke skills in the TE game but the volleying aspect can't be also more realistic. When playing against the AI as opposed to a human opponent, the AI virtually KNOWS where you are attempting to pass or volley at the same time that you attempt it. IT'S A COMPUTER! Humans more often have to guess because they can only usually rely on perceived patterns, anticipation, or reactions. It seems we can come up with any number of other suggested improvements to the game, but any SLIGHTLY more realistic improvement of the volley is STRICTLY TABOO!
