Hi Manu. I've been playing the WorldTour but I have noticed something odd. I'm now at the 415 place in the rankings but, just for fun, I checked out the top ten and found some strange things (2009). For instance, Roger Federer is around 80% in most of the ratings, while Nadal is a bit higher at around 82%. The worst one is Djokovic, who is second in the ranking but whose rating average is about 65%!! The best player out there is Czech Jan Hajek -7th- who has 95-100% in every rating except for the net ones. Is this right?

this is correct.
I didn't check carefully the future rankings, especially on year 2009, so I'll tune that a bit for next update. In the current version, Djokovic is going very down in 2009, while Nadal is falling around #10...

I understand, but there are still some strange things. Let me give you some examples I've found.

Miscellaneous under Top 100
Shane Barr (123) 89%
Hans Schwaier (159) 86%

Stefano Galvani (154) 15%!!
Oliver Fuchs (330) 80%

These are just some examples but there are plenty more in the game. In my opinion, even if they are having a rough streak, there should be a big difference between a top 5 player and one under the 100 ranking. I'm easily beating 75% players now, and I'm worried that if I face Serbia in the Davis Cup I will end up beating Djokovic 6-0 6-0 (I know I have to play in a more difficult setting but it was just an example).

And there are some extreme strange cases, just like the Stefano Galvani one I pointed out in which his rating average is 15%. Is it possible for you to explain how the rating system works? I know there is an expected ranking value for the future, but how it affects the ratings? That would be interesting and could help solve the problem.

players with bad skills will go down the rankings, and players with good skills will go up...

Got it. And will check the dbase and try to juggle with the stats to get more realistic results. However, it's still very strange that the top 5 players are equally as good as under 100 players even if they are young stars on the rise (in real life Federer now is 10 times better than any player under the 50th place with the exception of Baghdatis and Hewitt). I understand that the game balances that in the tournaments but the problem arises when you play against one of them. Maybe it would be possible to slowly lowering the ratings instead of changing them completely after every year. Or at least make two adjustments during the year.
