Nigogu,
as mentioned earlier, I won't do new menus for TE2013, but I will for TEM2/TE4.
The "it is not a piece of cake" is referring to the work required to Modders who would be willing to do a complete reskinning of TE2013 menus, not to myself.
kristooph,
sure, if you can do 222 icons in a style that we agree could replace current TE2013 menus, I could incorporate these changes, but as I said it's a long work. I'm not sure how much time it'd take you, so I'm not sure if you'll have fun all the way long ; anyway, it's up to you to see about that...

But there's also a 2nd big problem : as I said, the skinning possibilities are pretty thin, and if you want to move things around too much, or even recompose the menu contents (as seen on your examples so far), then it won't be possible to do it without script coding. I don't know if you're able and willing to do it, but me, I won't do it for TE2013 (I could still do some little things here & there to help you, but I won't do a complete re-haul).
About style ; for me, it's important that the style brings a game atmosphere, so it takes people into another world, the game world, and they can forget the real world with these real problems for a little while ; it also gives a stronger identities to the game, and it should somewhat match with the game content (ie: 3D players, 2D & 3D courts, all that stuff).
The wave-less TE4 icon seems better to me !

Could you do also a try without wave on the sides of the "TE" letters inside ?
And your last menu mock-up looks great..! It's much more game like, and it actually kinda matches what I had in mind for TEM2/TE4 menus : some big curves all around the screen. In this menu style, the background pics will be very important, and there you chose one that does a great job.
As exposed by
ElNino, the font could a bit more bold, though.
Now the problems... There, you have a text based menu, which means it'd require a re-haul of the menus ; ie: menu scripts would need to be rewritten, which takes time that I don't currently have.
By any chance, would you have some ideas to improve the menus without changing the current menu logic & flow ? ie: keep icons where's there's currently icon, keep text where's there's currently text ; you can move around & change the bottom bar (exit/help text/back), the right side option bar, the TE bar (at top of screen), and the left menu title bar.
adner,
I'm not surprised, like I said it's a lot a matter of taste, but I'd rather have game menus than OS menus...
