manutoo, its unbelieveble what you did to the dropshots. Not only you raised the 'forward' speed too much so everyone can get to the dropshots, but you also made the ball bounce higher so not only the players can get to the ball easily, but they can also pass you easily.Nobody can use them succesfully now ..

+1, thats what I told him too.

Why were dropshots better before the update? because its supposed to be a skill-based game,in which only players with fast reactions can get to dropshots, just like in real life.

Here some impressions I have from this update.

Lowering Backward Run Acceleration

  • It makes deep counters a bit more difficult to deal with, but not impossible.
  • In general it will likely lead to players moving a bit more backwards before the opponent even hits the ball. Before this update, you could move enough backwards almost in the last instance.
  • One can really notice this particular change at the net, where it is easier to lob an opponent. This one here will be changed (backwards at the net = forward or side run acceleration) and is sounding good.

Increasing Forward Run Acceleration

  • Noticeably easier to catch drop shots or any other shot landing shorter.
  • One can move quicker to a short ball and then has a bit more time for his attack than before. From another perspective: If I am standing further behind the baseline and my opponent is giving me a difficult short ball (be it on purpose or not) then I can get it back more easily now, whereas before I maybe hit a weak shot off it.
  • It is also easier to get to the net, but it is also easier to get quicker in a good position for a passing shot (especially when the volley is landing a bit shorter).

Rest of changes

  • Net Cords are now better, in combination with Forward Run Acceleration net cords end up far less as winners.
  • Slice and Spin changes are ok.

Just having the impression the changes in movement are not that significant for baseliners (aside from Speed Conversion backwards and those relying on it). After all, it does not really touch the fundamentals of TE (not just speaking about movement here). I hope TE4 will give more fundamental changes than these sub-builds.

It's called Nullsoft Scriptable Install System ... you have following possibilities:

  • clear your browser's cache
  • disable any download accelerators or managers and download the installer again
  • rename the installer so it is a simple one-word name with no special characters (without removing the .exe suffix)
  • update your anti-virus software (if installed) and download the installer again
  • disable your anti-virus software and download the installer again
  • download the installer using another computer and copy it to the original computer
  • if you have the nVidia firewall installed, uninstall the program and download the installer again
  • scan for, and remove malware and viruses on your system
  • scan the hard drive using scandisk, chkdsk, or any other hard drive repair tool
  • if you are using FireFox in Romanian language try this tutorial: http://www.tutorialepc.ro/nsis-error-er ... ema-2.html
  • wait for Windows Update to finish updating drivers

Good luck.

Kind regards,
Heinrich.

It sure did, whats the point of using it if you're gonna lose the point in 9/10 cases ? the only way you can use it succsefuly is against 500 elo players that have extremely bad and slow reactions..
PS: no one plays against them. so the dropshot is now dead

Drop shot didn't changed. What changed is that running forward starts faster, thus people are reaching the drops easyer.

sorry but i think it's a horrible update for players who play often at net.

I play volley since years and i know exactly my feeling :

- i really feel the player runs slowly to the net (i feel, don't know if it's truth but i feel it really really)
- running diagonaly to the run is slower too
- the net presence and cover/efficiency seems to be lower too
- catch a lob is really hard (though it's cool for the lob efficiency)

To resume : against the CPU with a level i usually play, he literally explodes me (passing, lob)
