Road to Roland Garros !

The French Open is aptly named, I've defeated 3 frenchmen to begin the tournament : Marc Gicquel on 1st round, the rising star Lucas Pouille on 3rd round, and Gael Monfils in 4th round (6/4 6/0 7/5, despite his +1.8 % form of day).
I've been lucky, Kevin Anderson had won an epic battle in five sets against David Ferrer in 4th round and will be my opponent in 1/4.
Nishikori had lost against Dimitrov, good news for me too !

Quarters : Nadal/Berdych, Wawrinka/Fognini, Federer/Dimitrov, Djokovic (that's me)/Anderson

Well here we go again... Against Hanescu (check 10 posts earlyer ) (i must say i am back to pro8 elite controls , had only 2 games on pro 7 and yeah i've destroyed that guy (forgot who)) i stsarted the second exactly when i finished the first. And i won 6-3 6-2. In the 3rd round i met Verdasco. What a match that was , test of nerves ... i was really angry after some shots and had to stop playing for a while. The first set he was the master ... won it 6-3 and could have been very well 6-0. Anyway i've tryed to regroup in the second. We've started with 2 solid games both for 2-2 , afterwards we both saved bp in our service games and got to 4/4. I managed somehow with to go 5/4 with a really strong backhand shots. And here verdasco started to play little more deffensive. He went 40/0 and i was ready for a tibereak , when he made 2 UE , and i managed to win 2 points afterwards. Had a break points (i'm usually not good at converting it) , but this time i've managed to convert my first break point. He smashed his racket and started the 3rd set nervously. I've broken him twice and won 6/3. Here lies the lucky part... i was in section with Del Potro , but he retired vs berlocq , and in the round of 16 i've played CHardy. Not only that , but on the other section , the favourite Ferrer lost to ihtomin . So my path was cleared to the semi's. I've beat chardy eastily 6/4 6/0 (yeah). He is not great , really. After him i've faced Isner , and again i didnt had problems vs big serve guys. 6-3 6-3 in a very broing match . I was through the semi's more than i've ever dreamed . And had to face.... Murray . Retired (again) after 0-5 in teh first set . I just dont know what is happening when i am playing him... we were so close in those 5 games but he wont the decisive points. Anyway he won the tournament beating... fognini . Here i must say , i'm planing to play more than the required tournaments so : 4 GS , 10 MASTERS (1 non mandatory) 4-5 atp 500 , and more than 3-4 atp 250 (just to get higher stats , because ia m still young in the game). I've just realised i had low stats when i struggled on elite, but now its really better . Anyway , after my semi i've went on to casablanca (atp 250 , clay) , and i was amazed how much top players played there... Nishikori , RAonic , F.Lopez, G.Dimitrov . Got bye in the first round , and played kuznetsov in the second . He was just not in my league and won just one game 6/1 6/0. After him i've played my partner in the future davis cups Grigor Dimitrov , it was fun because i am named Dimitrov also . HE made a lot of UE (just like real life). Beat him 6/0 , and broke him twice in the second set , after he broke me first for 7/5. IN the semi's i've got Fabio The Clown Fognini. He tryed to do something but it was not enough and i've won 6/2 6/2. The final was a different story , it was so even. I've PLayed against raonic. And obviusly had a luck in the first set. We've started quickly and he wasnt very well in the match yet , and i had an early break. We won all of our service games esaily and i've won 6/4. Then i just though i can win in 2 sets , cause his backhand is not that strong , although he has really good server which i can handle very well yet. He broke me for 6/3 in the second but it was really entertaining set. he saved a Game from 0/40 then i've saved from a 15/40. And what do u think happened in the third ... the obvious . Both served great until 5/5 where he had 1 bp and i had 2 matchaballs (on 6/5), but we couldnt convert them both. Ive started the tie-break better and got 3-0 lead. Then he served 2 aces for 3-2. And after i though i got him , i missed very easy forehand for 3-3. Rebounded with a good serve & volley for 4-3. The he won the next point after i gave him a very shrt shot and he hit a strong forehand 4-4. Finally , i've broke again 5-4 , and i had beaten, but agian missed a forehand (not an easy one ) . And we were even 5-5. In the what has been very well the most important point of the match , he made UE and i've led him 6-5. Again couldnt convert a MAtch POint , but broke him after that for 7-6 and finally hitted that forehand to win the match. 6/4 3/6 7/6. We've played like more than hour (real time) , it was really a great match and i think we will fight for many slams and masters in the future (actually i am think going on higher level not only when i win slam , but also if i win master ,cause these are the two places where you got the play all the big guys and if u beat them , then for there is no challenge ). Now going to play in Monte Carlo - 1R Falla , 2R Almost for sure Verdasco , 3R easyer - nishikori , nieminen , roger-vasselin. And if i somehow beat those i will play del potro eventually if he doesnt retire again. Anyway if i somehow make it to the semi's again i will have to retire .. Nadal is waiting me . SOrry for the long post , hope you enjoy my career so far

If Nishikori is your opponent on the 3rd round, he'll be a tougher challenge than Verdasco, believe me.

I've destroyed Anderson in 1/4 : he took a better start by leading me 3/0, but i broke back immediatly, to win 6/4 6/2 6/4
Dimitrov had sent Roger back home in five sets in the other quarter.

I was quietly leading 7/5 7/5 2/6 5/0 against the Bulgarian in the semi final, and the match's gone crazy, he'd made a comeback to 5/5 saving 5 MP in an incredible way, touching all the lines ! I've manage to avoid a fifth set and I'd won 7/5 7/5 2/6 7/5.

So Roland Garros will have a classic final : Rafael Nadal vs Novak Djokovic !
He leads me 3/0 on the season :

No you can't
It's only possible on Tennis Elbow Manager.
However, other players can be injured in TE, and you can change it in the players.ini file if you want.

Surprisingly, after posting my last results here, I won INDIAN WELLS!!!! I had confidence going into Miami but lost in the 4th round to a lesser ranked opponent. I'm not necessarily happy about that loss. However, I'm now ranked number nine in the world, with two titles to my credit (one premier 5). And at the age of 17, I'm the youngest player in the top 10. (It's 2001).

Thank you ZuutCoke . I decided to skip barcelona and now playing in Oeiras. Why again there are so many top ranked players , after all its one of the lowest reputation tournaments. Ranked second After Nishikori. Raonic , Gulbis and Robredo also there

I'm playing Pro and no patch. I'm having lots of fun. It's interesting to see who I match up well with and who I don't. My player doesn't have a lot of power at all (in the 60's) but I match up best against slow power players. I struggle against good movers, and if they move well and hit a big ball, I'm usually toast unless they make lots of errors.

Happy to say I've won Madrid 2006 - for the 3rd straight year! Beat Berdych 6-1, 6-2 in the SFs and Robredo 4-6, 6-1, 6-1 in the final, only losing serve once in the whole tournament.
Went into Roland Garros as defending champion, raced through my opening 3 rounds (including beating Berdych 6-1, 6-1, 6-3 in R3). Edged Jarkko Nieminen 7-5, 7-5, 6-0 then thrashed David Ferrer 6-1, 6-2, 6-2 to set up a semi-final against Nadal! (repeat of our 2005 SF)
Federer fell in R4 so if I win the title I go back to No. 1, if Rafa wins he jumps above me to No. 2
