Kei Nishikori has (accidentally ) recently switched from the hardcourt Futures events to clay. This was, at first, a huge mistake. In the first round of Germany F1 Qualies, Nishikori was breadsticked easily by some no-name dude. Kei did not make the necessary adjustments for playing on clay, insisting on trying to blast the ball past his opponent while simultaneously hugging the baseline way too close. After this disappointing result, Kei took the train to Spain and tried to remember how to play on clay.

In the Spain F2 Qualies, Nishikori started his first match by getting broken and going down 0-2. But after this he finally found his clay feet and began to adjust to the slower, longer rallies, playing further back when necessary, concentrating on his movement, and only pulling the trigger when he had a short ball. He won 6 of the next 8 games to win 6-4 (I play one-set in Futures qualies). After this win, Nishikori was suddenly a Clay expert, winning his next two matches easily and successfully qualifying for another Futures main draw. How will he fare?? Stay tuned!

took a break from the game, I started - as i already said on page 9 - with a customed player my carreer. Here is the player's bio:

The player is pretty similar to me, so he plays like me
in the first future, I played Q1 with 1st seeded player, Steve Guy, who I've beaten easily after a tough 1st set: 6-4 6-1. Q2 was pretty similar: poor start, great second set: 7-6(6) 6-2 against Giovanni Lapentti (I saved a set point on *5-6 in the tb).
Now I'm playing against a german, and AGAIN I had a bad start: i'm down by a break (2-5).

Arvis, I think pass on clay clurts is the most traumatic things in the game!! Or maybe it's the passage from clay to grass??

Hi there . Iopzzza is back , its been a long time from my last update . Lets get this started - As i said , i am at the us open now (the game is becoming more easyer for me and i think to get a higher level no matter will i win masters or slam , because yeah , that is my condition - when i win masters or slam i raise one level up , because these are the only places where i can meet all of the top guys) First round against D.Evans , really no problems 6/2 6/0 6/2 , 2nd round was the same against sijsling 6/4 6/3 6/1 , Then i had some struggles in the third , had to save set points twice or more i think , but i've beat anderson 7/6 6/4 7/6. After Anderson i've got Gasquet , who started on fire and led me 3-0 , but i manged to get back and get things to tie-breaker , where i saved 3 set points in a row :d , and finally beat him 10/8. The second and the third were easyer i found my game and won 6/3 6/2. After Gasquet i've got Federer - The funny thing is , we are almsot the same - My serve is FED , My BH is FED , My FH is FED , My slice is FED its 5/5 now , no breaks in the first set, but really i am not playing at my top level and if i start i think i'll beat him easily and second and third , that's why i think to raise the level up to pro 9 or pro 10 (playing pro 8 now , elite controls). Hey guys, do you remember when I said that i lost my carreer because the game was corrupted or something like that? Well, I discovered some minutes ago (just after publishing my court on Modding thread) that it's my PC it has a HUGE virus, and I have to trash it and buy a new one - of course, my carreer has been deleted
I'm going to buy a new one today or - at least - tomorrow. So, I will restart (again lol) my carrer with the same character.
I think the first thing i will do on the new pc will be install a great anti-virus!!

I currently play my second season, 2014.

In 2013 my results were:

Australian Open final (l. to Federer)

Metz final (l. to Nadal)

Beijing final (l. to Federer)

Paris Masters final (l. to Haas)

I started 2014 horribly with three consecutive loses, and i got knocked out in 1R in AO by Baghdatis.

Then I won my first tittle in Rotterdam beating Raonic in the final.

It seems that was my turning point! I reached the final in Dubai and lost to Federer again!
And again immediately in 4R in Indian Wells.

Then I won nothing less than Miami tittle, but I didn't beat any top guys on the way, Murray, Federer, Nadal and Djokovic got knocked out earlier, and I defeated Gasquet in the final.

Clay is definitively my weakest surface, I was regularly losing in the first round or winning after exhausting battles, but I managed to go into QF in Barcelona and Rome.

I lost pretty easily in RG.

Then I won Queens, beating Tomic in the final after losing the first set 6:1

Going to Wimbledon, my dream came true, I won it! I feel most comfortably on grass, but again, all of the big four were knocked out earlier. I've beaten Ginepri, Kuznetsov, Kohlschreiber, Henri-Mathieu, Berdych, Dodig and Tomic again the final, 3:6 6:3 6:3 6:3

I played some matches in Davis Cup and won both, then won Toronto Masters beating Djokovic in the final. I don't know why but he's giving least trouble of the top players.

I had 21 consecutive wins until losing in 3R at US Open to Klizan.

Then I got through to the Beijing final again, and lost to Roger, this time I managed to win my first set against him.

In Shanghai I've beaten Djokovic in the semis and lost to Nadal easily, 6:1 6:1, both times we played I struggled to take a game

Basel was my third final in a row, and another loss to Federer 6:0 6:2, I thought I will come even closer to beating him after that Beijing final, but in this match he utterly destroyed me.

I'm in Paris semis again, against Haas, hoping to get revenge for that final in 2013.

Federer and Nadal are not playing! Djokovic is there with a potential final on the horizon.

I'm no 1 currently, and will probably stay so for some time.

I started playing at professional 6 difficulty level, and over time raised it to 9. Using elite controls, medium auto-positioning.

So, after changing computer, and installing the most efficient Anti-virus, I restart the carreer.
I change a little the strokes style; now i've Youzhny's serve, Kohlschreiber's forehand and Fed's 1H backhand.
I think it will be a good idea if I tell you my results like pages of the player's diary. What do you think??

I created my own player. In fact I'm surprised with all the success I made, having in mind my player is not that strong, I have a solid backhand, good forehand, but only at some 68/70%. I've built up my counter strikes to 72%. The type of my player is varied, though I'm still not that good at the net.

Overall, I plan to raise the difficulty level to master 3 or 4. Playing with elite controls I used to make a lot of unforced errors at first, but now, the number of UE's usually does not exceed 15 in a match, expect when I play Nadal or Federer.

PS I've beaten Haas in Paris semis and going to play Djokovic in the final.

What a start in germany F1, fist tournament of my entire carreer!
Q1 very easy agains no.2 seed 6-2 6-2; then a great fight with an australian, but I won it 6-3 4-6 6-4 (we bot made 15 aces). Then i faced a 20-years-old Marcel Granollers I managed to win the first set 6-3, but then he started to play consistently (85% of 1st services at 180/190 km/h) and I lost 6-3 4-6 2-6.
Now i'm going to play in Germany F2, in an indoor court. Hope to reach the main draw!

How the heck are you hitting that many aces that early in your career? Are you a big server? I guess Nishikori doesn't really do aces, now that I think of it... and Zheng Jie DEFINITELY doesn't.

A (very) young Zheng Jie has taken the tennis world by storm! Sort of. A 16-year-old native of Chengdu, China, Zheng Jie has blasted her way through the Qualifying rounds of the China F2 tournament (year 2000). After having come up short in the last round of Qualies in another Futures tournament, the lovely and talented Zheng flew home to China and, on a whim, entered the China F2 qualies, just looking for a little more match play. Without time to really practice very much beforehand, Zheng thought that she wouldn't last long in the tournament. However, she managed to qualify quite easily! And who should she come up against in the first round but an also-young Lourdes Dominiguez-Lino.

Zheng was prepared for a battle, since her 16-year-old coach/boyfriend Arvis told her that LDL had some real talent. Despite that, she ended up winning 6-1, 6-1! Sounds easy, but make no mistake: that was the most frustrating double-breadstick win of Zheng's short career. Something like 70-80% of BOTH players' service games went to deuce. It was just a constant stream of deuce deuce deuce over and over. Zheng was better on the bigger points and walked away with the big win.

In the 2nd-round, Zheng faced off against an obscure power hitter from Hungary. Zheng broke her immediately and went up 2-0, but then her opponent held, then broke to even it at 2-2. After a few service holds, Zheng broke at 4-4 and served out the set. The second set began terribly, though. Not only did Zheng's Hungarian opponent start painting lines all over the freaking place and hitting impossible angles that Zheng's befuddled young coach/boyfriend Arvis doesn't even know how to do, but she also started passing Zheng at the net extremely easily. Zheng's superior net game had won her the first set, but now in the 2nd nothing was working. After getting passed something like 6 times in a row, Zheng found herself down 3-0, with her opponent serving to go up 4-0. Zheng resettled herself, committed to a few rallies, and chose more intelligent approach shots for her forays into the net. She managed to break and hold, and from that point on her opponent collapsed and Zheng dominated, winning 6 games in a row to get the set and match, 6-4, 6-3. She even won on a stunning forehand winner: a rarity for Zheng, who loves her two-handed backhand.
