Hey Manutoo, when i updated players rankings from year to year in ATP and WTA folders, some of the players do´sent end the year season correctlly

i have a eksample:

ATP:

Andy Murray
RankperYear: 2009: 5, 2010: 4, but when i updated the ranking from 5 in 2009 to 4 in 2010, he ended the 2010 season as number 10.

WTA:

Na LI:
RankperYear: 2008: 23, 2009: 11, but when i updated the ranking from 23 in 2009 to 11 in 2010, she ended the 2009 season as number 4.


Can you explain why?

Hello,

the player ranking set his strength, but the resulting ranking is not guaranteed, coz it depends of the actual results.
And moreover, for example, if you have another player ranked 4th, then you have to move it back to 5th to give space to Murray at 4th ; else both will try to be 4th, only one can.

Hey manutoo, what can i do so the players results rankings is guantreed year after year,

for eksample i had updated venus williams rankings in 2012, so she end the as number 15 in the world, but when i am playing and ends the 2012 year, she is only finished at nummer 26, and i had that problem with othher players from men and womens tour, so the players finshed the year in wrong results rankings. I had tried anything but i could not. I know you had answer me of this subject before, but i hope you can explain give some advices so the players ranking will be allright.

Yup, coz there's a lot of randomness.

Hey Manutoo i had asked that before, but what is different rankings numbers with 1.03 2.05 3.03 than the normal rankings like 1,2,3, which kind of effects has it for the players. Can i also use the numbers with 0.1 or 0.5 for the top 10 or top 20, and top 50-100 players in Tennis Elbow Manager. Hope you can give some advices about that.

hey Manutoo i had rankings problem, when i played my carrer in 2013 season, because the lower ranked players from 60-150 has really high ranking points like

1195, or 1230, can it should that there are not enough players in the player bases. how can i fix the problem, because thehe players shoud only have under 1000 rankings points, and it is happen only when i play these seasons from 2012 to 2025, and not before.

Yup, it's likely coz you don't have enough players ; just add more players to fix it.

What are the 28- or -5 supposed to mean?

Off Time : you can specify off time for the player, making him not enter any tournament on some specific weeks ; to do so, add the weeks you want him to miss after his rank ; for example : "28 -5.15.20-25.40-," instead of "28," in the RankPerYear line above will make the player misses the week 1 to 5, then 15, then 20 to 25, then 40 to 52 ; it's equivalent of "28 1-5.15.20-25.40-52", but you can omit the 1st "1" and last "52".

Hey Manutoo, when i start a new game in the men´s and the women´tour, the players from 130 to 990 has the same rankings and points, so when i start a new game all players from 130 to 990 is ranked: 133,133, 133, 133, or 520, 520, 520, 520, what should i do? manutoo.

you must give them some StartRank if it's the 1st year of your base.

hey manutoo, should i use strartrank, because there are many ranked players from 130-1000, and the problem has been happened sine i begin to play TEM for the first time, few years ago. It is happen in these playing years from 2010 to 2025. Can i fix the ranking problem in other ways, without using startrank, or it is impossible to fixed it, without startrank?

have you other alternatives?
