Still Important Feature : play best in most important time

I requested this months ago, and I still believe it is extremely important. In order for TEM to be a complete simulator, mental toughness must be implemented into the game as a statistic, or at least as a talent. Some players just naturally play better in the important situations, like in a grand slam final, a close 3rd set, etc. This often separates the good from the great players. For example, would Federer ever lose to Mathieu in the U.S. Open final? No, but in TEM it is definately possible. Or would a Williams sister ever lose in a final to Nicole Vaidisova? No...they would simply raise their level. There must be some sort of skill or talent for this. It is of great importance.

Unless I'm missing something, this is EXACTLY what Cold Blood is about. From the documentation:

Cold blood : this mental skills defines the frequency at which a player will be stressed in important moments, and when playing against a opponent less strong than him : in this case, his level will lower a bit, but only to his opponent's level, at worst


aka Federer or Williams should have very ratings in this(from your examples), while lesser players such as a James Blake for example would be low here.

Right now, the ColdBlood isn't used for this purpose, but I guess this extend would be logical...

I never saw the reply, so sorry about that. I think "cold blood" should be split up because there are too many important skills that you propose be in one skill. For example, playing well against worse opponents is much different than playing well in important moments/matches.

What you missed is that these things aren't implemented into the actual game, meaning at the moment "cold blood" does not do what I had talked about.

Obviously :). I think adding a new skill has it's problems though(that screen is full enough already), and the description for cold blood should be updated(since frequency of being stressed in important moments seems to be exactly what we are talking about).
