a question to the native English speakers around...
In French, when a player lost many time against another player around his rank, we say it's his black beast.
- Gaudio was the black beast of Ferrero till Ferrero beat him in Monte Carlo before to win Roland Garros
- Nalbandian was the black beast of Federer in 2003 (he very likely made him miss the year end 1st rank place, by beating him 4 times this year, including the US Open & Melbourne)
So my question is :
What is the good way to say "black beast" in English ?

We actually use the french expression - bete noir - sometimes. (eg Nalbandian is Fed's bete noir)
Alternatives would be to say that (the one who keeps winning) has got the other guy's number, or he is the other one's nemesis (Bandy has got Fed's number / Bandy is Fed's nemesis)
