I'm more interested in simulated outcomes involving real players than in particpating as a player against other players.

Will this be an option in TEM?

yup, it's the goal of the TEM : matches are only simulated, you can't play them..!

To get a good idea, you can try the Alpha 1... The Alpha 2 should be out soon, too.

But don't I have to enter a profile for a fictitious player to enter the pool of players? What if I just wanted to populate the seeds for a tournament exclusively with real players and have them play it out to its conclusion?

Humm, if you want to do this, wait for the Alpha 2.
In Alpha 1, you still have to enter a tournament, but if you want, you can enter only 1 tournament per year.
In Alpha 2, if you wish, you can never enter any tournament and you have to click to make the game goes on week per week.

humm, I'm not sure what is the goal you want to achieve.
But in Alpha 2, you have a predefined player. If you want, you can not take care of him at all, and just look what happens in all tournaments, week after week.

Is it possible for you to add a game by game simulation as in human matches for all other simulated tournaments(which you are not playing in)
