The game has a peculiar bug (for me).

Sometimes when I lob it gets stuck into lob mode. I want to power shot the next one, but no matter what buttons I press it always hits a lob! Anyway I can fix this?

Hello,

I guess you're playing with the default keys on the keyboard.
So basically, some keyboards have trouble to handle 3 pressed keys or more, especially when an arrow key is involved. If you hit the down key again, it should cancel the lob mode...
To avoid all of this, you can try to use these keys on the numpad : 8, 4, 5, 6. It should help in most cases...

I have this same problem, and I'm using a joypad. Everything is fine except when I am defending from the baseline and my opponent is attacking near the net. If I try and pass using the power shot and catch it on a half-volley, it'll flip up as a defensive lob. This is fine, but then for the rest of the point, the power shot button will always produce a weak defensive lob, making it virtually impossible to win the point from the baseline. Even if I manage to get into the position of an easy winner, the power button will still just put up a weak lob. The power button only returns to normal when the next point begins.

your trouble is not related to the one shown in the video of the 1st post.

You have a limited number of accelerations per point. Once you used them all, you'll only do a weak shot when you try to do an acceleration.
