Invalid save after update

Postby Andreu Daniel » 28 Jul 2010, 21:55

Good evening,

I updated my game 2 days ago and since then I haven't been able to load my game in the tour mode which is saved in the slots H, I, J and K.
How do I load it? I would be very sad to see 100 of hours going lost just like that.

Kind regards,
Andreu Daniel.

Hello,

you probably did some modifications to your Players and/or Tournaments bases... You have to re-apply these Mods to be able to load your saved games. Previously used base files are back-upped in the "Data" subfolder.

Check for error messages in the System.log ; if it doesn't help you, send it to me (either by email or by putting it in the Forum).

I'm having the same problem. When I open the game, "resume current game" now takes me to Emily Bouvier as a default.

How can I change it so one of my games in slots J, K, or L can always be the default opener?

Here's a bit from the system log:

Mem for PlayerBnk = 9057 KB (2991); PlayerTour = 981 KB (324; all career = 1872); Rank2Player = 145 KB; CCoach = 138 KB
Found 4 Team cup rounds for Women Tour (Max = 6) (sizeof WT = 1236 KB)
Info: last attempt to load the current saved game crashed ! Starting a new game instead
==> Starting new game (Diff = 3 ; Female = 1; Year = 1990; Rank = 0)
ActivePlayerYearTotal = 16000; RankingDb = 6531 KB
===> Total Init Time = 3.054 s
Ambiant (0.627451, 0.627451, 0.627451)
Star (1, 1, 1)
Star Dir (-0.146447, -0.92388, 0.353553)

jenks,
Info: last attempt to load the current saved game crashed ! Starting a new game instead

It looks like your saved game got corrupted & made the game crash on loading... :fear:
You might still be able to load a previously weekly saved game, though.

When the game reverts to default Emily starting tour, you can still try to load the current saved game (from last Load slot), but it may crash.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I have four possible games I can load instead, but even after playing a few times, then saving and exiting, they stop showing up on the list. I end up back at the close of the Eastbourne tournament.

Thanks anyway! It was a fun game for a few months! :)

You mean after a while, the game crashes on load every time ?
If it happens at the same week, u can send me your saved games (with any Tour & Players Mods u may have done) explaining the steps needed to reproduce the bug...
