[DualShock4]

Hello.

I'm playing TE4 on a Mac via Steam and was successfully using a Sony DualShock 4 controller. Steam Input was disabled, TE4 recognised exactly what the controller was and you'd map native buttons (circle, square, etc.) to actions.

However, this has now randomly stopped working. TE4 still identifies the Sony DualShock 4 controller (it displays the name on the top right of the screen) but the controller doesn't work. Press any button and TE4 doesn't respond, including if you try and map an action to a new button.

If I enable Steam Input, TE4 no longer recognises my controller as the Sony DualShock 4 nor any of its native buttons but I am at least able to map actions to the buttons.

What's happened? Has there been a change? (This first happened to me possibly before Christmas but I've not played the game for a little while!)

I don't think anything changed about that in the game lately.

Is it a wireless controller ? I heard the wireless behavior of the PS controllers could be erratic, especially on Mac. If so, do you have the possibility to try to plug it in ?

Otherwise, could you send me a Bug Report from Settings -> Controls -> Player 1 with Steam Input off ? (HowTo => topic5-31732.php )

I'll have a look to see if there's any hint in the log.

Also, you can manually tell your controller is a Playstation one on the bottom of that screen, if it's the only quirk you have when playing with Steam Input on.

One last thing to try : reboot your Mac if you never do that.
