Please help!! [crash & bug #531]

I love the game. But Ocassionaly I try and load or save data and a screen comes up that says CRASH error.log and shuts down. I would go into my profile and load a new profile and start over with a new player and be mad for a day that I lost all that saved data, but soon enough I'd forget about it.

This just happened to me recently, but now my profile icon completely disapeered from my world tour main menu page! So now when I click on my character sheet, I see the person I was playing as before the crash, but when I try and get him in a tournament it won't let him play. It's very strange and unfortunately I'm completely computer illiterate and don't know the first step in fixing this problem. Besides this glich, I can't wait for TE2006 to come out!

I just posted a topic titled: Please Help!! and I have another problem, (sorry!) When I try to play a warmup session, it says Bug:531

I have no clue what that means!

it means you should buy the game to play the full version, and not play a pirate version ... ;)

us$19.95 is not that expensive, and it'll pay the efforts of the authors to develop this game. Moreover, it'll help to improve the game through new updates!

I don't like the acusation that I stole your game. The $20 wasn't a problem for me that's why I PURCHASED your game. I don't know enough about computers to steal a game. I am however encountering problems with your game and need help fixing them. I bought your game months ago and no longer have my origonal confirmation email which I'm guessing contained my customer ID. The last email I received from mana games was 2 days ago when I registered to this forum with this problem. You still haven't answered why my profile icon was working since the day I got the game, and now suddenly disappeared. My name is Nick [hidden] out of South Carolina USA, If you don't keep records of the people that purchase your game, that is your problem, but if you do than look it up. you can send me a private message for my contact information if you need more to look me up as a paying customer in your system. Very offensive :roll:

Hello,

sorry, I didn't want to offense you... I found your name in the customer base, so everything seems to be ok. :)

So if you have the bug #531, it means something really got wrong with your copy, and the 1st thing to do is to download the latest version, that will hopefully prevent all the crashes you experienced as well :

The button to create a profile only appears when the "advanced options" are on.
To do this, go to the "Misc Options" menu, located on the same right side bar, then click on "Advanced Options" and "yes".
You should then see the "Profile" button back again !

I'm not sure of the meaning. What happens exactly ?
If you meant it won't let _you_ play, and your player plays automatically, then it means you turned on the CPU control mode. To turn it off, the "Advanced Options" have to be on, then you can click on the "CPU" icon, on bottom right of your "Character Sheet" (in the "World Tour"), so it'll become the "Human" icon.

If you experience more crashes, even with the latest version, then you could send me your saved games, and I'll have a deep look at them. (I'll explain you how to do that on next time).

To prevent you to start a new game if something wrong happens again, you can save your current game by clicking the "Save" button, in your "Character Sheet".

Ok, I hope it'll help you, and as a registered user you don't have to endure crashes, you can ask me to fix them ! ;)

There's 1 thing you should check : do you have enough space on your hard drive to save your game ? You need about 6 MB for each new profile, and 6 MB for a separate saved game.

Else, if you registered to this forum, you should log on before to post a new message (there's a link at top of this page, or bottom of the main page). So you'll receive a notification email when you get an answer.
