R2: LetsGoBro def. [19]Mohamed 6-2, 6-2, 2-6, 6-3.

Conditions were horrible (I'm sorry). Both of us whiffed some shots which was incredibly frustrating. Anyway it was closer than it looked despite the opening two sets. The opening game of the 3rd set, I dumped a volley on the net on a ball that was going out which eventually cost me the break. He started to elevate his game and I got really nervous. Was doubtful that I could win after what happened in the 3rd set, so it was a huge relief to close it out. Commiserations Mohamed, I doubt it was one of his better performances. I would have been toast if he was in good shape. But I'm confident he is on the right track. GG and GL for the tournaments to come.

I was just lucky to beat ratherplayer in R2 by 7/5, 7/6(9), 6/3, a sportsmanlike player who did a great job to take out the 28 seed in the fifth set long game by 9-7 in R1 with nerves of steel. The luck to save 3 set pts when down 4-5 in my own service game and in the tie-breaker in the 2nd set was the key. Now I probably will have to play against the world number 1 Kuga in R3. Though I don't think I have a shot to beat him, it will be a great learning experience to see how the top players are played and I will do my best to try to avoid the bagel!

Jeremy def. Dr.Ivo 7-6(0),6-2,6-4! :D

Mods please change the score because we played now and it is more fair this way, he is better and it is stupid that i win by RL...anyway, he absolutely deserved to win, now when i am coming back, i am trying to play my old serve and volley game but it is very tough to do it now with this change in the game...i would have a bigger chance to win if i played with my baseline stats, but would probably lose it like that too...he was just returning too good and i did not have the answer to that...he outplayed me in all of the sets although i was extremely frustrated with the TB in the first set in which i played unbelieveably horrible and was a bit unlucky with some unreal misses...that depressed me going into the 2nd and i ''gave'' him the set, wasnt motivated at all and he used it...in the third i fought but he was too good...better for me to concentrate on doubles :D GG and GL in the next round! :applause: :)

R2: Mario (15) def. kristooph 6/4 7/6(4) 7/6(5)

Went up 5-2 with 2 breaks up in first set but he fought back to 5/4 where we played long game but fortunately for me he couldn't break me again. He played better and better towards the match and I had real difficulties to return his serve. We both didn't convert few break points till 4/4 where I finally managed to break him for 5/4 and a serve. But like in first set he re-broke me straight away and we went into tiebreak where he missed couple of important points at 4/4 and 5/4. 3rd set was similar like 2nd but on different sides, this time he broke me at 4/4 and he served for a set. He even had a set point 40/30 but I returned good and played good game again when I needed to. Another tiebreak where i was bit luckier and won the match. Funny thing is that we played 217 points and he won 110 (compared to mine 107), so yeah he won more points but I beat him in 3 sets. He also had 3/9 break points (compared to mine 4/8). I was definitely lucky to win this in 3 sets lol. Good game, better luck next time.
Need geographical tour asap.

R3: [12]The Joker def. LetsGoBro 6-3, 6-4, 7-6(4)

First of all, I apologize to Mark for that abrupt departure at *5-4 in the second set without warning you. In normal circumstances I wouldn't have done that, but had some family matters I had to swiftly attend to. I felt pretty bad after that, and you absolutely deserved to win the 2nd set regardless of whatever happened. Also with the sudden disconnection, we lagged out of the game - neither of us disconnected. So I'm sorry if the resumption of the 3rd set ruined your playing rhythm in any way.

But yeah, that was basically the story of the match. Insane lag throughout due to long distance. I thought we played well overall, but I hit quite a lot of wild unforced errors and I couldn't control my DTL shots. Mark did a better job of coping with the conditions, and played superb tennis when it mattered. I enjoyed watching his refined volleying skills. Even though I broke for the lead in a couple of sets, I always felt like I was playing catch-up. I was never comfortable in any point. I'm slightly disappointed that I couldn't prove myself more, but I was very pleased to stretch out the 3rd set. All in all, I'm pretty stoked about my matches this week. Good on ya Mark, keep up the good stuff. You are very talented. GG and GL - win it all perhaps, why not?
