I know that's not his fault that he's from Australia, but I don't think matches should be played with 400ms latency. Manutoo's brilliant pro-lag system makes it so bad, weird animations glitching all the time :s This is simply painful to play.

oh yeah? What about matches in real life...a small wind or dust in your eye and you say these matches should not be played lol  Manutoo had done better work than many mono-Creators that i know of. If you think his work is bad, why don't you try to create a game on your own! I bet it's lot harder than playing and commenting crap about it  If its painful to play, ask for your opponent for an RL. There is always Lag rule to help you.Lag ratio within limits of lag rule is playable, it might be hard... but definitely playable with increased delay. If you can't play in slightly different conditions, then you can't become a great player. Many real life players play even in wind, slight rain, heat and its quite hard to adjust but they just play and they don't complain, they are prepared for it too.
@Seb adner was insulting Manutoo in a sarcastic way. We all know it :aureola:

manutoo wrote:Yes, coz it's so easy to make disappear 400ms of latency, like all of other online games that play totally lag-less with such latency...

It's very easy, actually. Don't make players with such latency face each other in tournaments! Latency is a natural thing in connection between Europe and Australia, so why try to fight it with silly measures that make the game painful? It doesn't matter whether the game actually lags or you see your opponent teleport around the court, preparing for slices and hitting accelerations and so on.

In my opinion, players who have more than 250ms latency to servers in France should not be allowed on tour.

manutoo wrote:Oh wait, no they don't... fucking moron without a brain.

Great way to treat your customers, Mr. Full-of-brain. Don't forget to put that on your resume  - excellent marketing skills.

manutoo wrote:Next guy that shits on my game & my work for insanely stupid reason can go to play somewhere else, I'm getting tired of these stupidities. :annoyed:

Maybe instead of raging you could actually prevent such stupidly laggy matches from happening.

Wind, heat or rain don't make your opponent teleport around the court or start hitting different shots and end hitting other ones. Actually, normal lag is more like weather conditions, this mumbo-jumbo makes stuff annoying.

And I wasn't insulting Manutoo(actually, he insulted me), just the direction he takes on fighting (or rather, not fighting) the problem of lags.

Generally, the reason why people say "most" is because they mean not all, so you so pointed me wrong this time!

I understand your frustration. But you could have complained about it to Mods. Why did you continue for 5sets?
P.S. I was a bit rude to you. I am sorry for that. But look---> Calling "Manutoo's brilliant pro-lag system makes it so bad, weird animations glitching all the time" is definitely insulting him in a sarcastic way. He did his best to decrease lag in this game and he is still in the right direction. You could have explained about situation in a better way. And now you are talking about his marketing skills. But if you behaved well, why would he write that post?
