2014 Season-NathanAck

Postby NathanAck » 12 Mar 2014, 02:26

From this forum I liked how people described the tough matches they went through and it felt realistic. And I apprehend Soranan Cirstea the person on the forum. I like how shes doing a 2014 match by match description. So I'm going to do the same thing! ;-)

India F1

NathanAck def. Tennisfan26 6-1 6-;-) 1
This match had me nervous as it was my first match on the tour in the beginning. But, I guess he was hitting many unforced errors caused by my defense and anticipation. The first and sexond set ended quickly as i played freely.

NathanAck def Croat(1) 6-1 6-4
This match was a toughie in the 2nd set. The first went routine as I hit many winners and I had many aces. Then the second set happened and he started firing winners from all parts of the courts as in the rallies my stamina levels for a defender started to deplete. Then at 4-4 I broke from a few return winners and winners. And 5-4 he had 0-40 to break back as I started to hit unforced errors. But Iwon six sstraight points and won the match. ;-)

NathanAck def. BorrowedTime 6-4 6-4
In this match from the get go he broke me for 2-0. I then decided to change my tactics from defending from the baseline and I started chipping and coming to net and wiin the net points. I won the next 3 games and ended up with a tight 6-4 set. In the second set i did the same and broke at 5-4. And won!

Final NathanAck def Marcos Nion 6-1 6-1
This match was routine as I defended his forehand and got the errors I needed to win. I'm happy I won those sixty points and the future title but seeing that I struggled with some opponents scares me when I get on the ATP tournaments.

Indian Wells
I expected nothing out of thus tournament. It was my first ATP tournament. I got a draw versus many seeds :-( . but that's what the game of tennis is all about, coming over the adversity. So, here I am.

NathanAck def. Sorana Cirstea 6-4 7-6
For some reason I was really nervous and she was hitting winners from the court causing force errors.aheld my serve go keep the matxh going until 4-4 and i broke to get 5-4. And i served out the set with aces. In the second set I went to deuce on her serve but could never get the breakpoint conversion. At 5-4 once again she got BP's but couldn't convert. We went to a tb and she led 6-2 but on her set points she drop shorted at a wrong times and I got there in time to put it away. And we ended in a dramatic 10-8 in tie break.

NathanAck def. jwmnjw(17) 6-3 7-6
In the first set I was able to defend and counter against himand get the break needed to run away with a routine set.In the second set I felt cocky and decided to go easy and go off my concentration and in 10 minutes time he was 5-2 up in the set. And in that moment i was like 1) Theres another set 2) I can fight and end this in 2 sets by getting breaks. He seemed nervous and I started to hit good returns and found myself in a tie break. In the tie break I ran away with it and never looked back winning 7-4.

FighterFognin(14) def NathanAck 6-3 2-6 6-2

Omg... I was so frustrated the WHOLE MATCH!!!! In the first set I got an early break off defensive pressure to go up 2-0. Then hs tied it and started hitting backhand winners from down thr line and hitting so powerfully. He then started serving 200kmh 2nd serves thst i was gettinb back but not deep enpugh to keep the point neutral. Then he started taking advantage of my kick serve 2nd serves. in the second set,I settled down and constructed the points and started to dictate myself. I finally started passing him at net since he is a good volleyer. In the third set I was nonchalant in the beginning and didn't concentrate after I wpn 2 service games and was getting multiple bp chances in the beginning but he still held serve. Then he ran away with the set after a break of serve to go up 3-2. I started to panic and rush shots.

This was a great tournament to see where I could potentially be at in the forum rankings. In a weeks time I'll be posting my Argentina F4 challengers and next I'll be in a challenger event skipping Miami. The reason I'll skip Miami is that to get 90 or 60 points at that tournament is getting past r4 and my ranking isn't good enough to have a probability of making it that far. But, I'll be in the doubles event for Miami.

Argentina F4

I won by RL in first round. Then I got defeated by kristooph 6-3 4-6 6-4. He is a tricky opponent and I am now 0-2 in 3 set matches. In the second set he led 4-2 and then I just started to got winners and soon the Set. Third set was 4-2 and I broke back but he broke to win the match. Clay isn't my best surface at all.

Quadalajara

I def. Pedro162 RL

We had same time zones, but can't play!

AdnerTomas def. Me 3-6 6-1 7-6

I played well to serve and keep serve. :applause: but, 2nd set many return winners off serve for opponent. He caught me behind the line and hit the short angles. Third set was good with aces and my own firepower. But tiebreak caused me great problems and I couldn't hit w/o errors!

Next tournament
Qatar Singles and Doubles :D

NathanAck def Marcos Nion w.o

We didn't get to play since he was never on the forum so... but I suspected a win since the last match turned out to be a 6-1 6-1 landslide victory for me but people always get better. He just needs to find the right game for himself and train that way.

Khalil Ghennim def me RL

WE both tried and contact each other in our time periods and it didn't work out. So he won by RL!

Qatar Doubles

NathanAck def. Malek Jaziri w.o

M Khalil Guederia def me 6-1 1-2 ret.

I was leading in the second set and the first set was dismal. I just didn't want to continue playing since my player kept volleying outside. But, I meet him in Tunisia.

Stating of Tunisia, that's my next tournament in singles and doubles... Hopefully I won't get paired with players that have UTC -1 because we can barely play without them playing at 10:00 pm near midnight their time.... but that's the joy of the game.
