Skill mode in the year that followed ...

Postby Heinrich von Westphalen » 20 Dec 2012, 08:51

Dear moderators,
since November this year I play steady Tennis Elbow 2011 and would ask you which skill mode would be required. Unfortunately, a general assessment of the skill mode in 2013 seems to be difficult because of varying opinions are expressed in this discussion. Furthermore what role does your poll in relation to this issue?

A timely release of the tour rules would be desirable, in particular for new players like me who aren't much flexible as experienced players.
So I applied for Brisbane International 2013 and will be happy to practise a few days / a week for this tournament.

Thank you for your kind attention and wish already Merry Christmas and a good start in 2013.

Kind regards,
Heinrich von Westphalen.

Post scriptum After an abundance of games in both modes (fair / realistic) I really prefer fair mode. It is more balanced and claims more smartness and variance by players. In realistic mode it is significantly easier to beat defeated players and often a simple succession of accelerated strikes which will be boring.

It hasn't been decided yet, mainly because poll's still open.
