RL is not fair!

Postby Luinir » 14 Nov 2011, 02:49

I am a new player on online tour but i am playing this game since 2009 as in career mode, so i know the game really good. I got full version last month and played last 4 tournaments of the year. It was a great start for me, especially in singles i made great results. I may be a new player on the tour but i am not a beginner at all. Just in a month i made my ELO around 1800 and competed well against top players, beated top 50 players etc...

But it's not the point. In the Paris tournament, i played my first quali match when draw released. Then on saturday or sunday i played against Viggy and won it, too. Since then, i waited AT LEAST 5 days for playing my last quali match. GORAN and Trajkovski couldn't play anyway (it depends more on Trajkovski). Then Trajkovski got the RL even though he didn't deserved that at all. After waiting 5-6 days, he came on MSN and even couldn't speak a word in English. He couldn't join to my channel at Hamachi, couldn't host a one etc. And finally wanted RL. Algo was nice and gave me W/O. No problem, so far, no?

Then, my R2 opponent was NOLE_LUCKY. I added him on MSN on Tuesday if i am not wrong. I wrote at least 3-4 times to him "can we play?", "can we play reserve?" etc. He said at the first "you are not my opponent". Probably he got confused, no problem. Finally a day ago when Algo gave me a W/O for my quali last round match i was in R2 already. (i played my R1 reserve and won it 6-1 4-0 ret.) I am here ALMOST all the time (Algo knows it very well) and waiting for my opponent or opponents. Just 10-12 hours ago NOLE_LUCKY wrote on forum that he didn't get any request but couldn't add me. It got bugged, probably. I wrote on the topic, too, you can see it. But when i look at the tournament table just an hour ago, i saw that he got the RL. What? I think since i am waiting for a week to play matches here, i don't think that i deserve to losing with RL. At least, you should give a extra time to me since my previous opponents didn't came for a long time. Plus, it's not like that NOLE_LUCKY was here for the whole day. I see him very rarely, i am here always but since he shows up 2-3 times, he gets RL. I think it's not even RL. It's like W/O. He's top 15 player and his chances to win RL above of %90. It sounds really stupid. I don't call it as "RANDOM luck" at all. It's like betting on Federer to win his R1 match in a tournament.

I think the rule should change. It should depend more on "which player was wanted to play more and was waiting for opponent?" style. I could be a new player but it doesn't mean a i am beginner, i am sure that i could have my chances against all players. (excluding top 10 players) As example, i played against dr. ivo last week who has been in top 15 and it was close match even though the scoreline was 3-6 3-6. Plus i played my worst match probably.

So, i think RL has a clearly "prejudice" to new players in this system. Me or who has been like me, is not deserving this. This season is almost over and i think it should be discussed from now on.

Thanks.

Well, if you take dr.ivo as an example you should know that almost everyone is reaching TBs against him because of his game style, he's something like Karlovic, strong serve and good volleys, not really like Karlovic but I mean it's really hard to break him but it's not even easy to get broken by him xD

EDIT : And you know " Life is not fair "

Are you serious? That would be the most subjective system ever, the RL system here is very fair, well defined, objective, and appropriate...Only in case the opponent really has made NO effort to play (but Nole.Lucky clearly wanted to play though I agree he's not online much - still I always managed to play him when he was in my draw), you would be entitled to get a WO rather than do an RL. Simple  But in this case RL was the only option really

I mean it could be RL but the chances is just %5 for me? After waiting whole day for it? That's the problem.

Igor, that was just an example. I played against top 5 player Florian who has been a great baseliner and just lost 4-6. (had a break point for 5-5)

I am really sorry for that, I really wanted to play. But I just did not have enough time this week (and maybe will be as busy for some months now-->FUTURE OPPONENTS!! Please be patient :jap: ). The next time I'll give a walkover to my opponent if I know I will keep too busy.
Sorry again :|

NOLE_LUCKY its' not related to you. I have nothing against you. :)

I just want to point "RL system". I know that i can't get W/O when my opponent wants to play.
