Carpet is faster...Look no further than the top players who are "defenders"...they all struggle on carpet pretty much, compared to their performances on clay, bg cement, cement, synthetic stuff and indoors hard. Having played on indoors carpet in real life, it's a great surface, I really enjoyed it, and yeah it's pretty fast...
