Good match, he started playing better in the 2nd set and I started playing a bit worse, thinking about what I was doing a bit too much. I think this was an actual semifinal, but it could've been just a reserve match. I don't know. Anyway, he's a good player and I can see how he got here.

It was a good match i think. But there was a nerving lag between 250 and 400. That was a bit stupid
Anyway i think i would have deserved 1 game.
I had one break chance and a few game points.

I just have to say that I used the wrong skills , those I used for the doubles
35% in spin , 55% in drops etc...
but Richou played very well too , he converted the only occasion he had in the second set , while I missed a lot
I broke him in the third set , and he directely broke back
anyway , I hope to face u again next week in Montreal , and we'll play a real match

well despite playing like crap i managed to win the tie breaker. and i won 3 games in a row at the end of the second to lead. right now as to why he retired, ii dont know this for sure lol, but when i play badly i get seriously pissed off and do this twitchy thing on the keyboard. and i missed a bunch off balls, so i said lol a tonne. at about 30-15 in the last game, there was a slight delay after JHON swung, his racquet moved, and then just before his swing finished the ball moved, naturally i had stopped because i thought id won the point, but then the ball landed in the middle of the court. Well GG JHON i suppose

wow, well this game started 15 minutes after i beat JHON, and it started pretty much as the last match finished, playing like crap. I couldnt get a read on his serve or anytthing, he played some excellent tennis. Powerful stuff and occasionally dropshots. although i felt like i wasnt actually moving well at all, it seem to take a long time for me to actually start running. plus my curse of never getting first serves when i need them kicked in, just stupid points like 40-0 or whatever.

second and third sets I actually managed to read his serve a little better. i felt like i was moving a little better, and i was hitting with more depth. my serve was working a little better too, dragging him off the court, or forcing some weak replies. basically both playing better. well at 5-4* idk if he got nervous or whatever, but i think i broke pretty easily there.

only drama in the third, when he broke me to lead 2-3*. i was sh*tting myself, but i dont know what happened, cuz I managed to break right back pretty easily again. At 6-5* I had a bunch of match points which i think were mostly aces. in the tie break, he missed a stupid ball and hit an error to give me a double mini break and 3 match points. on the match point once again he missed the stupid ball. Well congrats and KZ for getting this far, i was sure u were gonna destroy me the way i played against Jhon.
hes really dangerous, top 5 for sure. Great Game!

What a match once again! I don't know why, but I sure do get a lot of these. Richou really earned this win, I didn't give him anything but he simply took it from me in the end. I didn't play badly at all but if there was one aspect that I wish I could've done better at, it'd be the serve. Usually against him it's a huge weapon and I get like 10 aces a set off of it. But not today.

In the first set, I started out down a break but then got back and went up and served for the set, unsuccessfully though. We went to the first of two tiebreaks, and he really gave it away. He had two set points at 6-4 but played tight points both times.

The second set was about the opposite of the first. Once again he went up to start the set, and once again I came back and served for the set unsuccessfully (I actually had a match point at 5-2 but couldn't convert). But this time he was able to do well in the tiebreak and didn't give anything up.

In the third set he was finally able to stay ahead. He broke me at 4-3 and served for the match, but he failed to do so. Then I couldn't hold serve in the next game. On match point he pushed me back and hit a drop shot, and as soon as he hit it I could tell the match was over.

In a way I'm happy to lose one. I knew I couldn't win every match this summer, I'd been saying it all along. Hard isn't the best surface for me and I have less margin for error on it. But for the most part it was his good play and not my bad play that won this match, and I'm happy that my streak could end with such a great match. And for him, he gets some vindication for Wimbledon, though not on such a grand stage.

this next post is gonna be pretty large

well first set, i went a break up straight away, to lead 2-0. then he won the next 3 games in a row to lead 4-2 at this point i was feeling pretty hopeless. then at 3-5 i managed to break him again, and i was feeling in control once more. into the tiebreak, and i went up a minibreak straight away. and i squandered that lead, missed a whole load of stupid balls again, but once again I managed to get ahead at *6-5. I missed another stupid ball and he wrapped up the set pretty easily from there.

second set. I went up an early break again, to lead *2-1 but again, i wilted, and he won 3 games in a row, and eventually took a lead of lead *5-3. i was feeling pretty dejected. i looked at the match stats, and saw i was winning by about 7/8 points or something, so i kept thinking if he wins this itll be a fecking steal. i broke back and then the tie break was a repeat of the first, except this time for tog.

third set, was pretty uneventful, until 4-3, i had a tonne of break points, and managed to convert one to lead *5-3. at this point I sh*t myself and i let that game slip pretty easily. then i was in my element, he was under pressure and i was on the return. again, he saved a fair few match points,even had game points, I was sure he was gonna hold and win in another TB. however, i managed to get a good return in and hit a nice deep safety shot after he pummeled a reply. then he went all tog and hit a nice top spin shot, I did a drop shot and for once he didnt retrieve it

well as usual, he played great, and im very happy to be only the 2nd player to beat him in tournament play, and to win on all basic surfaces and to continue my match streak to 10..

I enjoyed watching the first game -- everything after that one basically never happened (what the recording shows is all wrong). So, I would have loved to have seen this match, but again the playback doesn't work.
