1.set I was so nervous. He made then then a break to a 2-1 lead. I got then the reabreak to love or 15. I don't know. Then it went to 5-4 with chances on both sides to break, but neither got a break. Then at 5-4 Mario had serve. I got soon 40-0. But i couldn't use that. Then it wen't in deuce (i think) 5 times. I had there 4 set points and he 1 game point. I used then the chance at the 7th set point for me. The difference in this set was i think the high number of Mario Ancic's faults.

2. set I made at every point the right, i think.

Mario Ancic is a nice and good player.

So, Mario Ancic, thanks for the match and good luck in future tournaments.

Well, i did just do a very good match, and the match was a bit closer than the score says, he had 4 or 5 Break points at 1-0 for me in the 2nd set that i saved.
I enjoy playing him so i wish him luck in the future, i don't know why he came playing here in clay of Umag while he's better on hard surfaces

It"s the last clay tournament of the year so if i must go far in one it must be here
By the way if Acid is w.o or LLeyton Hewitt wins him it would be my first semi-final !

I'm going to retire from tennis elbow as a player after Umag.This will by last tournament.My university begins in August so I will have tons to study etc so I wont be able to play tournaments.
I've played TE for a long time now .I will ofcourse miss this game.It was really fun to play this game and meet nice people.
I had my ups and downs in the game and tried to learn from my "downs" and cherished my "ups".
I Think I will continue to moderate along with Eronakold.But wont be playing tournaments anymore.

Omg... I don't want that... But if you must to retire, ok... I never played against you... Maybe I can beat you...lol GL Chiller...

He served and returned really well and the was the most difficult in the match for me.
I think i played to defensive and I didn't played my best.

Anyway, Maria Sharapova deserved to win and i wish good luck for the semis (and the final).

I'm now a bit sad but all in all i'm happy with the tournament.

We tried to play couple times but the ping was above 400.Today we tried and it was about 350 average I suppose.It was pretty laggy and he decided to retire as it wasn't fun to play ,obviously
He is a nice guy and a gr8 player.Wish him best of luck for the future

It was a good match.I broke him like 3 times in the 1st set but still it went to a tie-breaker as he kept breaking me back .
In the 3rd set he had a break point and I hit the ball out but he was inside the baseline so his player hit the ball in play and I won the point and eventually the game . Good luck in the future tournaments !!!

I'm sad.

The ping was about 250 or 300ms so it was very slow... i'm not used to that except with K Z so it was very hard for me to play.
Most the the rallies were ended by a dropshot-volley/smash from me or a winner from him, i kept on the defensive all the match and played very very short because with the lag i couldn't center the ball in the racket.
As he said there was 3 breaks in the 1st set, i managed to break him back and won the tie-break 7-2, with dropshots again and some faults of him.

After that it seems that he get more used to my dropshots, and while in the 1st set i was winning most of the net points it was the contrary in the 2nd et 3rd set.
And finnaly in the 3rd set, i had a break point and as he said, his ball was out and unluckily i shot it back
I would have made the break.
Anyway, we made a good match and i wish him to win his maybe last tournament
