Postby tati cornet » 25 Jul 2009, 18:32

i asked manutoo and kyuuji on the french forum but it's hard for them to answer me.

i wonder if the world tour allows to improve generally (to become faster, more powerful...) and play better and bette rin training matches and in tournaments (hamburg...).

I have to say that I don't think it does. But then again, I play world tour with about the opposite style as I play online with, so I'm probably not the best example.

ok. in fact i have no idea about the world tour. as i said, i have never played it and i don't really understand the story about the points you win in world tour (can you have less than 780 when you win more and more points?).

i have to try it, because some player with incredible defense or incredible power make me wonder how they do.

In world tour, you start out with a certain number of points to distribute any way you want among your stats. The number of points you'll get depends on the difficulty you have the game on. Then you get more points by playing tournaments; the better you do in the tournament, the more points you get. So, the number 780 means absolutely nothing in world tour. You probably won't get that many points unless you have it on a very low difficulty level anyway.

it'd be more practice for you, so you might get better if you play world tour
i guess, but i think it doesn't or it wouldn't affect much how you'll play on the online tour tournaments as you have no lag interfering on your movement/shots and as it's usually easier to play against cpu than to a lot of the real players out there in the tournaments
when i get more evaluation days i play a lot against incredible sub-10 power baseline with all in 100 cpu and it's not as hard as it would be against the best players in the tournaments
but, as it is more more practice for you, i guess it'd be helpful to play world tour

I extended myself too much, and i haven't even played world tour
