Kyuuji def. Ana Ivanovic 6/2 6/3

He saved 4 match balls!
The score doesn't say anything, many good rallies! Good Defense! He really attacks me, but I was very lucky, he made a lot of faults, but I know he can beat me if he don't make faults.

BUT i feel bad because we misunderstood yesterdya playing a training match (for me) and a reserve match (for her). in fact we didn't talk or write about a reserve match, then i thought it was just for training. as i said, i will always ask what kind of match it is if i know ther player can be my opponent. yesterday the connexion was bad for me, but i didn't give up because i don't like to do that to my opponent.

i hope it will be my last problem with an opponent, even if i don' tblame her. we were both wrong i guess, and none of us wnats to be bad with the other because i appreciate her (and i hope she will keep liking me after this problem :s).

definitely it's hard to explain when you don' tlive it. sorry again vanessa

There's no apologies necessary. The fact of the matter is that yesterday, I beat you on grass, 6-3 7-6. Fair and square. I had finally done it, after coming so close on other occasions. It was the win of my life, and would have propelled me into a semifinal for the first time of my career. And then you say, after the match is completed: "good thing this was only a training match". And my heart sank. Because I knew, at that moment, that probably my closest friend on tennis elbow had made a decision to put his desire to win above even his own morals, and was going to abuse our relationship. We discussed it with the mods. Eventually, the next day, they decided that we needed to replay the match. I had beaten goran today, but clearly I wasn't playing as well and needed a tie-break to close him out in the second set, having to come back from a break down. After the mods made the decision, tati and I played. I was not as sharp. I lost 3-6 4-6. On match point down, I could feel my eyes starting to tear up, and I double faulted.

In sports, upsets happen. They happen because on one particular day, one player who is not expected to win plays well, and the favored player has an off day, or is just outplayed. They don't get second chances.

yeah the same thing happened to me and tati in zagreb when i proposed to play our match, but there was some kind of misunderstanding where he thought we were playing a training match...

it's true it happened with you richou, but the connexion was normal i think and ther ewas nothing to say. here as i explained, my player gave me the impression to run under a stromboscop (do you say the same in english). it happens when i open te with several windows of msn... and even if i close them before playing, it's too late. the same thing with the mouse: the crusor seems to be shaking, it's weird. then i was not running good, not hitting real winners...
but if i have known it was the real match, i would have asked to restart the computer, even proposing to her to verificate my character page to be sure i would not change it. we didn't try on the forum, or in an email, or on msn we wanted to play a reserve match, then i thought it was a train as i did with jhon this week for instance.

but i am not on the game to make players cry, especially when i appreciate them like vanessa. i am so sorry about that, i really feel bad and hope you will forgive me vanessa.

as i said to ero, i will always clarify the aim of the match before every game while a tournament...

i just want to add i don't search reasons about my losses everytime. i think there was a misunderstood one more time, and i will do everything to avoid it in the future.

The damage has already been done. I should have been firmer from the start. I shouldn't have rolled over to the mods and their decision. Then my name would be in the semifinal slot where it deserves to be. I hope I draw you at Wimbledon.

the connexion is always slow with him, we don't know why. but he did really less errors (he did several in the training match). and my high counter was useless (i really wonder if counter is usefull).
yeah it is really weird because i played a set agaisnt him for training with high net game and lost 63. then i changed and won 63 63. i began the real match for queens with the same profile but lost 63 63. it seems we like the number3

congrats for your first final, it will be hard to know who will win it ;)
