Goran has a strong serve game, and can take the ball very early. My topspin didn't even deter him much, although he's prone to some errors with his aggression. He's definitely better than some seeds now, as we've seen this week, and I expect he'll win most early round matches in the future.

And I'll toot my own horn... this is the exact kind of match I would have played extremely defensively and lost pathetically a week or so ago. I'm pleased my practice paid off. Yes, I am.

I hope I can give Tati/Flavia a good match in the QF.

It was a very fun and very beautiful match ! Almost every game has gone to the advantages and the finish was thrilling.
I played better in the second set, where he made more mistakes, I recovered him 2 breaks in the second set, and in the tie break I was leading, but he showed his best at the very last points.

this match what one of the best i have ever played!

in the first seti broke at 2-2 but he broke back. after i broke again, won my serve to lead 5-3 and broke him to win the set (i hope i am not mistaking).

the second seemed easier has i broke him twice to lead 3-0. but h came back, broke me and had one more bp (3-2 30 40). i fought to lead 5-3, but he didn't let me win the set on my serve. i think he saved two mp at 5-4.

after that we had to play the tie break and he was always excellent to lead 5-3. but i tried to concentrate and won 4 straight points to win the match.

i have rarely seen a defense like yours flavia. i know clay helps you, but it was impressive! and his dropshots are really hard to return
