I agree with R. Gasquet. Conncection failures happen often, so who's so say it was KZ's fault. Plus, he actually won the match. Just my two cents.

Blacky, I'm around today and some of tomorrow, although I'll be in transit tomorrow afternoon/evening. I'll try to be on MSN as much as I can.

Well people dont get the story wrong. Both went in the chat window and supposedly the game crashed and then instead of continuing the match kz went on to play someone else and told sharapova to wait for 30 min.Well Maria Sharapova was serving for the set and he could have won that set and eventually even won the match as he won the 2nd set . So its not kinda fair that you play someone else when you know your opponent is serving for the set.

Previously we have had many cases of players trying to break concentration or momentum and they were blamed and they faced the consequences. Here we just asked them to have a rematch .We dint even ask them to continue from 5-3 ....and sharapova agreed.

So we had to give a fair chance to sharapova. So instead of retiring KZ you should have atleast played the match and you could have even won the match.Anyways thats your decision and this was our decision.

Togtdyalttai(3) def. R.Gasquet(10) 6-3 1-6 6-3

Good match. 1st set was pretty straightforward, we were feeling each other out until 4-3, when I broke and served out the set. 2nd set was about the worst set I've ever played. I made more errors than winners for the first time I can remember, and when he was serving for the set I made 4 straight errors. Then I put that behind me and didn't hit another one for the rest of the match. In the 3rd set, the match got interesting. He struggled to hold serve each game, and I broke him at 2-1. Then I got broken right back, and we each held serve one more time to get to 4-3. Finally I broke him once more and served out the match. He played really well and I know he could have won it, but I never really felt that I was going to lose. It's unfortunate that this match had to be in the R16. Oh well, see you in the clay season!

1) I never told M Sharapova to wait for 30 minutes ( I admit that it was bad to play an other match but my first round opponent didn't have much time and it took me only 10 minutes not 30 )
2) M Sharapova agreed to continu the match , and losing consentration is just a reason he found to make some noise ( and he perfectly succeded)
3)I will play the rematch , I spoke with Jeroen and he agreed too
