He just seemed to guess at where most of my groundstrokes were going. He started playing better late in the 3rd set, found a strategy that could actually do some damage against me, but it was too late. Hopefully Edberg will be here soon so we can make this official or so I can play him for a semi.

To me, as a spectator, this is appropriate. In the real Australian Open, we have, in about 6 hours, the topspin-king, Nadal, vs. the everything else-king, Federer. Here, in TE2009, we have the topspin-king (although good with many other things also), TOGTDYALTTAI, vs. the everything else-king, S.Williamz.

At least I am not the only one when playing these two that is frequently served bagels. It is nice to watch the scores change when looking at the online games list, although I normally only see numbers in one column change with these two. Good luck!

This was a very fun match. It was close throughout. Fitting for a Grand Slam Final.

1st set: I came out blasting winners everywhere, and eventually got a break at 3-3. Unfortunately, he broke me right back and then won 2 more games to take the set.

2nd set: Pretty much the opposite of the first. I broke at 2-2, but then he broke me right back again. Then I took it by hitting a pass at 4-4 and then served it out.

3rd set: This set we held serve all the way through until the tiebreak. In the tiebreak, he took the early lead at 3-0 with 2 minibreaks when I made a couple errors, then I made it right back to 3-3. Then he took control, both with his winners and my errors and didn't lose another point in the tiebreak.

4th set: This was never really that close. He broke me at 1-1, and then I couldn't get back into it. He got an insurance break at 4-2 then served it out.

This match had so many winners and so few errors. It was wonderful. Truly a spectacle. If only others could have seen it...

Thanks Tog! It was a great match! Extremely close, except the last set where his level dropped a little. Sometimes I felt a bit hopeless cuz he was holding his serve by blasting winners before I could even move lol, but I kept my cool and am happy to win. Hope for more such great matches.
