adding shirts

Postby TheHip41 » 30 Mar 2011, 06:46

so i'm horrible at modding this game, but i'm trying

I got a shirt from one of Draco's files. I renamed it Shirt19.

I placed it in the file like the howtomod directions said, in the data/models/textures area, in the pak01 file

i edited the "gamesys.ini" to show that I now had 19 under the NBType

When I went to step 3(i play in 3D), it tells me to add it to the Model = Tshirt area in the data/model/texture/male.ini that is found in the pak01.

so this is what I see when I open it:

[Male/Shirt]
PosX = 0
PosY = 0
Model = Tshirt01 1-11 Tshirt02 12-16 Tshirt03 17-20

this is the directions:

add a T-shirt, look this line:
Model = Tshirt01 1-5 Tshirt02 6-11
and change it to :
Model = Tshirt01 1-5 12 Tshirt02 6-11
or :
Model = Tshirt01 1-5 Tshirt02 6-11 12

should I just leave it alone, and it will appear as the Tshirt03 group, if I just have shirt19 in the data/models/textures area? will that work?

should I just rename the shirt, shirt21 and leave 19-20 blank?

any help would be great

when I try this, I completely butcher the GameSys.Ini

All I do is change the NBType from 18 to 19, but when I replace the old GameSys.ini with the new one inside the Pak01 file, the game won't start

then I look at the gamesys file and it's just gibberish. where am I going wrong?

It should simply be, to update shirts:

Increment the NBType +1 in gamesys.ini (as you did).

Increment the Model field in male.ini +1.

Increase Tshirt1 for a normal shirt, Tshirt2 for a shirt with a collar and Tshirt3 for a sleevless shirt. Doing nothing will add the shirt on to the field with highest number already (by default should be Tshirt3).

There should be 18 normal shirts so if this is your first modded shirt then value you need to be adding is 19 (in both files).

You have put the shirt in \Data\models\textures\male not \Data\models\textures\ right?
