Editing .tga files

Postby Maria Sharapova » 08 Aug 2010, 14:46

I'm trying to edit one of the womens outfits (i got from draco. thanks haha  ) So i get this program called TGATool3 (probably a crap program :? ) and i edit the .tga file for one of my outfits (the back of a shirt). As i finish and look at it, the back of the shirt is what i want, except the only problem is the skin. I only edited the actual t-shirt and the stuff in the .tga file. These are the before and after shots:

My shirt (the back) before:

My shirt (the back) now: As i want it, except the skin problem. :fear:

*** I don't think i got a good tga editing program, so if anyone knows or has a better program for editing .tga files, please tell me what program it is (one thats recommended or best). :)

Hello,

you have to edit the mask part of the .tga file . Normally, your editor should have an option to show it. In the mask, Black is skin, White is shirt.

Yeah i edited the mask part. I made the shirt white and skin black as im suppose to. I dunno, but its still coming up with the skin problem and im now sure how to fix it. I don't know if it was the program i used. I might try find another one to see if i can edit it again.

Ok its all fixed. I got a program called GIMP. All i had to do was find a GOOD program. ':D It works to perfection and its pretty easy to use (at least it supports .tga file format :)). Unfortunately all my other time was wasted because of the other stupid program (one i thought was useful :( ).
