Hi,

I always wondered why there were no Tour.ini files around with more than 2 Futures a week, so I decided to completely overhaul the Future tournaments using Maxou's ini as base and the official calendar of this year's ITF tour. Now there are exactly 13 tournaments a week. I would have liked to add all tournaments, but unfortunately that's not possible as only 13 will be shown in the World Tour calendar. The overhauled ini does exactly what it's supposed to do: it adds more diversity and even players outside the top 1000 have their own ranking points now (as opposed to the #700 having 0 with Maxou's original ini). Here an image:


However, there is one small problem. When looking at the log of any player, all tournaments from week 39-40 are unnamed and unreachable




As you can see the log becomes completely useless from week 39 onwards. The tournament names are all either empty or random gibberish, and unclickable as well. What did I do wrong, manutoo? check that you didn't forget to raise the max number of tournaments in Tour.ini .

I did raise it. I tried setting it to 664 (exact amount of tournaments), 1000, 1328 (664 * 2) and even 9999, but nothing worked

Ok, that's quite strange then.

Check your System.log for unusual error & warning messages.

I'm only finding things like:

Info: miss 11 players in Qualif of 'Turkey F21' (week = 50)

but for almost every tournament even though all draws (and qualifyings too) are completely filled

Warning: 's0.1' isn't a shorcut for an Outfit entry name

but that's just a faulty outfit code from the Maxou players.ini

all other warnings/errors are scoreboard and sound related

I checked more and actually the engine doesn't support more than 512 tournaments for the career archive, thus the display errors.
It's not changeable, as it's an hard limit.

I'll have to change it for TEM2/TE4, though, as it's linked to a limit on the number of players as well which is a bit too low...

ok, I already thought something like that was the problem. but this limit is only present in the career archive, right? because other than that there didn't seem to be a problem with having that many tournaments when I simmed through a full career

Edit: and is there a way to show more than 13 tournaments a week in the calendar?

1) I think it's only limited in the career archive, but as it shows random stuff, it could crash at some point to check the player activity.

2) No, it's not possible to have more than 13 tournaments per week

Maybe you can improve the engine by reducing the doubles qualifying because in real life there isn't doubles qualifying including in Grand Slams.

Oh, that's strange !
Do you know if it's a recent change or if it has always been like this ?

I quickly checked and could find doubles qualifying draws for Wimbledon, but nothing else...

I don't know when it changed, but in 2017 Atp Tour, only all the ATP500 (4Q) and Wimbledon (16Q) had doubles quallifying. In my game I reduced doubles qualiying for 2 doubles on futures and challengers, 4 on ATP500 and ATP250, 6 doubles on Masters 1000 and 8 doubles on Grand Slam. Moreover, I reduce ATP250 singles quallifying of 32 to 16 players (as changed in 2016). So I get to put more futures tournaments. I remember that a I added new 50 futures tournaments and I haven't missed players yet.
