Hello everyone,

In this topic i will post from time to time some goodies i'm creating for ITST Mod, to be available as a separate content.
Everyone is free to use it and/or integrate in their own mods. Just credits me for it.

i'll start with some grunts and UI script.

Multigrunts

Why Multi ? Well, i like to come up with new words sometimes

. Nothing out of the extraordinary. The main concept behind this word is the same as used with El Croato shot sounds. Wich about grunts, means using more than 3 sound samples, for more variety. If you have a character grunt cycle going through 8, 10 or 20 samples, then you will hear much more varied grunts, and that's overall adding more realism and atmosphere.

I didn't had enough time to make videos for every player i took care of. but you can hear them downloading ITST Mod

TE doesn't restrict us to a-b-c limit, so no reason not going for more

To use it you have to simply drop the Menu folder in this archive, in your main TE folder.

This is done modifying 3 files :

- saveloadsub.menu
- saveloadsubtc.menu
- saveloadtc.menu

(i think only two files are modified, though as i didn't remembered exactly, i included 3 for now).

and extending the Slots in the Loadsave section of the language files, like this :

So nothing really complex, but mainly using special ascii chars to break the 0-9 + A-Z limit.

in the archive i included pre-modified lang_english.txt and lang_français.txt, from the last TE 1.0c build.

So that when 68 characters are saved, your profile folder will look like this :

Ty Nigogu, by the way i just updated the roster script, 'cause at first i forgot to re-enable the delete slot option, should be ok now :p

Quick Note : you only need to modify Lang_English.Txt , no need to modify other language files, as when a code is missing in them, the game engine looks for that code in Lang_English.Txt .

Thoerically it's possible to go for more slots, as there is still some spare special Ascii characters available. Though as you can see, with 68 slots, the slots selection area is already pretty slim so this can lead to some misscliks when saving a character (overwriting another character), or deleteing the wrong slot when hitting the delete slot cross. That is the main problem when you want to show lots of available slots in only one screen. So in only one screen display, i think 68 is already a lot, more would be too tiny.

The first issue i faced was the following : i first started to try using different file naming scheme for character profile files, like P_A1, P_A2.ini, etc. But somehow it didn't worked properly, it was working saving but not working when loading, or the opposite, i don't remember exactly but i dropped the idea. I don't know if i did something wrong, or if simply the profile files naming scheme is limited to one char after the P_ . Then i thought about ascii special characters, as they usually works on most file systems to be used naming files. And then it worked.

If Manutoo changes the current naming scheme to something like, P_000 to P_999, i would gladly make this script evolve to a 400 character roster, with some vertical scrolling sidebar (like in the dmo recordings list display), to allow scrolling thru the slots, wich would allow as well to use larger, standard size slot selection panels.

Hey,Elias,is it possible to have less than 68 players,may be only 50 is enough,because too much players will make you choose wrong character to play :mrgreen:

Yep of course it's possible.
Two things should be done for this, first reducing the number of slots in the language file, and secondly,
also changing the slot display layout in the menu files (changing the loop max number of slots, and also the slot pixel height & space between slots). I'm still not at home (back this evening by train), if you want i can make a 50 slots version later on.

about the grunts links i'll probably re-organize them and put direct dl links in the main post instead of a folder if some people have trouble.
