Hey guys,

I hope someone is familiar with this issue that I have from time to time. Whenever I do a hard turn off of my windows computer (don't properly shut down, just turn off the computer from the tower) the next time I load TE with anyone's patch (currently playing with phucnguyen0209's patch) my profile disappears and it's a corrupted download.

There's a little screen blank screen that loads in the background of the game and all of my settings disappear and so does the profile button in the game. All of my characters are missing and in the past, I have to re-download the game and re-install the patch and start over.

Is there anyway I could go in to the folders of my download and save this somehow?

Never mind. I fixed it.

For anyone that may experience this problem on their own, go to the tennis.ini folder and you'll see a whole bunch of squares of corrupted code at the beginning (About 2 pages worth). Delete those and you should be good to go. Your profile tab won't be there, but your saved games will be. Just load your game and the profile tab will re-appear.

hmmm. scratch that. It's still kind of screwy. The answer is to download TE again in a different folder, steal the tennis.ini folder out of that and replace it with the one in your patch. Does the trick and your profiles remain

When turning off the computer from the tower, the Computer later or sooner starts to break down, Windows has to close before shutting down the electricity, process things can be damaged in some cases, and some pieces (like the RAM) can burn because they keep running for some seconds, and the cooler turn off.

if you delete Tennis.ini + the .ini of your Profile, then create your Profile, it might work.
Do you turn off your PC using the front power button ? Or the PSU on/off switch on the back ? The 1st solution should close Windows like if you did Start -> Shut Down ; the 2nd one is very bad, though...
