Anyway, I see that your English is decent so the next time you're not sure about your answer just start you sentence with: "I think", "I suppose", "Maybe.." or just simply say that you're not sure....When your're telling to somebody to "just do....something" it means that the answer is obvious and straightforward. It's ok to be ironic but not when you're completely missing the point.
