hehe. Yes it takes A LOT of practice, and some just seem to turn out better than others. I think getting the right photo is the most crucial element.

Had a proper look at these now, some feedback:

Stephens looks very good

Kvitova is good, but the angle of the features is a bit off, like not quite facing forward. If you're using Photoshop, I would say adjust the perspective to fix it mostly

Kuznetsova and Mattek are very good, the only problem is you can see where you have mirrored one side of the face, just use a bit of clone tool and smudging to cover it up.

Watson and Robson are not so good, I think those "glamour" sort of picutures never seem to make good faces.

Hope you can do a good Wickmayer face, seems to be one of the most difficult for some reason!

I can't promise you that there is anything that will work for making faces but you can take a look and see.

Try the Wim2012 and all the RG sets first. The RG2011 set has a lot of photos from early morning training at Roland Garros in 2011 taken with a camera that isn't quite as good.

Cheers for the tips Torto, I'm still pretty inconsistent I'm hoping I can keep improving. Yes Wickmayer is a pain & I don't know why lol. Rezai is by far the hardest so far however, if anyone can find a non smiling picture of her facing forward that doesn't have whack colouring/shadows I'd really appreciate it. I'm not having any luck.

Agreed I was not happy with Heather or Laura. Will try that Watson picture you posted.

I have an exam Wednesday so ill try get them all done by the end of the week

Well. i'll be happy if I never have to look at another photo of Yanina Wickmayer as long as i live lol this is about the best I could come up with. Not my best work but took a lot of work to even get it to this level.
