As we don't have enough players in total to make a good Davis Cup competition, why don't we make something similar to that?

The idea is next:
we would make teams with 2 players in each. people would talk to each other (on msn, for example) and try to find their partner and make teams. after you find your partner, you make a deal on who will be player no1, and who will be player no2, then you make up a name for your team, and then u apply your team

simple as that. we will have about 20 teams in this team cup if we can make this work.

so people, what do u think? what could be the problems with this? what suggestions do u have? please, comment

Hello stuey i would like to play in davis cup. what i have to do?

Well first it's not davis cup...because some countries don't have enough players for davis cup...so it wouldn't work.

This is imagined that you find yourself a partner from any other player on tour, he can be your nationality or not.

And then you play against other teams...

If most of you are for this kind of competition, we will think through about system of it, and schedule.


Something similar we had long ago before tours on this site...We had 8 teams with 3 players in each...those 8 teams were placed in 2 groups and first two advanced to the semis

Well it will be refreshing to have new winners as well .Well this isnt the same format but anways.It should be more interesting to see how people pair up cant wait to see the response and should be fun i hope.
