Postby stuey » 15 Mar 2008, 21:08

Hello everyone again.

This is the temporary list of players who applied for TE league and for whom I'm quite sure they will participate in league:

1.Stuey
2.Tom Paulman
3.A-Rad
4.Jazzo
5.S.Williamz
6.Mario
7.Ro.Federer
8.Marat Safin
9.Bajko
10.Kyuuji
11.Zuzana Ondraskova
12.Lucky Rooky
13.Milos
14.Miguel
15.BlackyM
16.Dusan
17.Krotekus
18.Chiller
19.Dragan

Applications closed

Further on, Chiller, Vincenzo, Dragan and Phillip Kohlschreiber also applied for the league but since it has been a while, and I haven't spoken to them, I would like each one of time to reply to this post and confirm their participation in league. I'll add you guys to the list when you do that ;)

Everybody else who has not applied for the league yet and would like to participate, please go this topic https://www.managames.com/Forum/ftopic1114.php and register yourself for the league 8-)

Also, anybody who is on this list, and don't wish to play TE league, please tell me you won't play, so that I can remove you from the list.

About TE League

There will be 2 or more leagues, 8 players in each. We'll play Double Round-Robin system, or in English  , each player will play 14 matches (2 against each opponent):
4 matches in April
4 matches in May
6 matches in June and July
Ready to fight for the highest place in the 1st league? ;)

I'll divide all players who applied for league, due to their final ranking on the tour after French Open.

For example, if only these 17 players I mentioned above will play in leagues, I'll put these 8 into 1st Division:

A-Rad, Jazzo, S.Williamz, Marat Safin, Bajko, Milos, BlackyM, Dusan.

League will start in about two weeks time (around April 1st)

edit: there is good possibility that 10 players will play in each league, in that case we'll play 18 matches in our first season.

Hi, I'm here just to inform you that applications for TE League are opened two more days. Sunday, April 6th is the last day to apply for the tournament.

Until now, there have been 18 players who have applied for TE League. If that case remains, they will be separated into 2 leagues: 8 players in 1st Division, and 10 players in 2nd Division.

So, next week is the first week of TE League 8-)

I'll try to make pairs and everything in Monday night (GMT+1 time), and to inform you about couple of most important things, here on forum.

Later on, during next weeks, I'll try to put TE League into my website.

Everyone else who wants to apply for league has to apply in the topic for TE applications; everything about correct applications is explained in the first post in that topic.

Thank you for your patience :)

Hi everyone again.

Applications for TE League are now closed, there are 19 players in it, 8 of them are in the 1st TE League, and 11 players are in the 2nd TE League.

I've already made a draw for the start numbers, so these are the results:

1st TE League
1 Jazzo
2 Marat Safin
3 A-Rad
4 BlackyM
5 Milos
6 S.Williamz
7 Dusan
8 Bajko

2nd TE League
1 Stuey
2 Krotekus
3 Zuzana Ondraskova
4 Lucky Rooky
5 Miguel
6 Tom Paulman
7 Mario
8 Ro.Federer
9 Kyuuji
10 Chiller
11 Dragan

There are four periods of 1st season. In each period you will have to play 3,4 or 5 matches. We will play Double Round-Robin tournament, which means there will be 14 rounds in the 1st, and 22 rounds in the 2nd TE League.

-------------------------------------------Rounds
----------Period-----------------1st League---2nd League

1. April 8th - May 11th..................1-4.............1-5
2. May 12th - June 15th...............5-8.............6-11
3. June 16th - July 20th...............9-11..........12-16
4. July 21st - August 24th...........12-14.........17-22

Both 1st and 2nd TE League will have their own topic. Check your league's topic for further information about your first 4 (or 5) opponents ;)

Good luck

Thx :)

Some important stuff (I'll try to make it look better later):

match:
-matches are played on Best of 3 sets in Fair Mode
-the surface is what host chose to be his/her home surface
-you don't need to play your period matches round by round, just play all of them on time

promotion/demotion:
-8th placed player in the first league is demoted to 2nd league directly, and the winner of 2nd league is promoted directly to 1st league
-7th placed player in the 1st league and 2nd placed player in the 2nd league meet each other in the playoffs (I'll set the rules for playoffs later)
-not sure yet about the second season and probability of 3rd League

sort criteria:
-number of wins
-percentage of sets won
-percentage of games won
-head-to-head score (matches won, percentage of sets won, and percentage of games won)
-if all these criterias are the same and players are fighting for an important place, playoffs will be played

-if a player resign, it will be calculated as his opponent won all the games in the remaining set, and won all the remaining sets 6-0

So it all depends only on who hosts the game? No rule about who should host? Because if my favorite surface is clay and my opponents prefers indoor hard (two completely different surfaces), then we might actually end up arguing who will host :D

This is Double Round-Robin tournament, which means everyone will host once against each opponent. No need for arguing ;) Host is a player which name is first in one pair.
Eg. in 1st round match Tom Paulman - Mario, you host the match. And you'll meet again in June or July in 12th round match Mario-Tom Paulman, where Mario will host.

And here https://www.managames.com/Forum/ftopic1114.php , you have chosen your surfaces, but as host you can choose whatever surface you like for the match!
You don't have to play on surface you've chosen to be your home surface in that topic.

P.S. Dragan, I apologize, I didn't see your application for TE League, so I just added you in the 2nd TE League. That means there are 11 players in 2nd TE League so I've made some corrections.

TE League Cup will be League + Cup formatted tournament which will be played during Season 2 of TE League.

There will be 4 groups with 4 players in each and first two qualifying for quarter finals.
