Can Djokovic keep up with the same level next season?

Postby E=mc2 » 02 Dec 2011, 13:25

Djokovic is currently world no.1 and starting off the next season, he has to defend a bunch of titles.points like around 7000 till RG2012 which is more than half of his current number of ranking points.
So do you think he will keep up with No.1 rank?
My opinion:NO CHANCE! :P :fear:

What a question lol...What does No.1 rank have to do with defending all his points!?!?!?! I keep seeing that ridiculous statement. Use your brain and realise that No.1 belongs to the guy who wins the MOST points in the preceding 12 months, and yes, I think he can keep the No.1 spot but he probably won't win as many big tournaments as this year (no need either to stay No.1 ;))...though if he's healthy I think he can win AO, RG and USO in 2012 as far as the slams are concerned ;) I'd tip Murray, Fed or Tsonga for Wimbledon. Not sure how Nadal will cope, he seems to be a bit of a spent force, but I guess he'll still do well on clay at least. Anyways, Novak's body is sometimes fragile...though it didn't seem so this year, but I guess he overplayed himself into injuries in the later part of the season...so we never know...my prediction is assuming he's 100% fit

Same level? Which one? Before USO or the "great" level after USO?
And I guess after Wimbly 2012, Rafa or Roger will take the 1st place

Stajus don't act like an over-smart prick! my question was clear.see my voting question^^ with your retarded eyes.i said all year long.now Novak has won every tournament he played till RG.so thats a lot of fking points and if loses his A-game somewhere in this part in the next season, guys like Roger("especially"),Rafa (or even Murray xD) can get to No.1 spot. So i m pretty sure that if he don't defend most of these points,he will get down in rankings.it's just a prediction.STAJUS, NO.1 YOU WERE TALKING ABOUT IS YEAR END NO.1 RANKING.
so stfu! i have enough tennis knowledge.i don't need your fking help.don't always criticize as if you are a Genius--->FOOL
Mohamed same level indicates--->all season level of play! :banghead:

Djokovic might lose it along the way but if he gets to the latter stages of tournaments and Rafa doesn't win everything except probably RG then he should finish no.1 or no.2. I'm predicting a last gasp Slam for Roger who could be the one to get the no.1 by the USO for a while. But he will have to put tremendous effort and might dwindle afterwards like the rest of the top 4 this year already content with his last one or two slams. As for year-end no.1 its Nole or Roger.
Grand Slam - R2(RG '12)
Masters - R3 (IW '12)
TET500 - QF (Valencia '11)

Challenger 125- Q3 (Szczecin '11)
Career High Rank: 75 (05/21/12)
2012 W/L Singles(excluding WO, RL & LR): 5/8 (39%)

You shouldn't count out Nadal either..you remember how piss poorly Nadal played at the end of 2009 and went on to have his best year to date in 2010. Who knows what tennis voodoo Toni does. Same applies to Djokovic for last and this year (although he was finding his form at the end of 2010). Anything could happen, so instead of pointless polls why not just wait and see what happens...

Richou, he only asks for our opinion....

I think Rafa is gonna take the first position next year after Wimbledon and I hope he will win all 4 grand slams next year that will be the first time in this century :)

As Richou said, Rafa was poor at the end of 2009 but from Monte Carlo 2010 to the end of 2010 he was just great ! :)

And our opinions are irrelevant to what will happen next year, ergo, its pointless.

Richou i think u will go out to the beach when there is a flood warning!i am sure u do
is flood warning pointless?
when u go out and get drowned, do u still think its got nothing to do with the prediction.
People always want to know the future of those whom they love.it's just fun to know!
Always finding reasons won't make u a happy man. What would you say if i ask u,"why is your name, Richou?".Is there any point regarding to your name of why your parents kept it to you? We all have our names because our parents loved to call us like that. It's just love and fun!Sometimes being pointless is fun!!!
Don't be a weirdo. If u don't like to give an opinion, don't give any.We are not begging for u to give an opinion. Not everyone thinks like you.Atleast not me! :o

The difference being a flood warning isnt an opinion, its a statement in an attempt to save lives derived from relevant data relating to flood warnings and then floods such as burst dams, heavy rain, tidal irregularities. I have no problem with expressing my own opinions and I sure as hell don't object to anyone expressing themselves either, however this seems irrelevant, total conjecture. Isn't it more fun to just wait and see who comes out and plays the best instead of asking irrelevantly on a forum? Then again thats just my opinion :D

PS Richou is nothing close to my real name. Assuming that it was is like me saying that your parents named you after an equation to find energy in relation to mass...
