(in french) with several tennis players (including Federer) stating that Wimbledon grass was very slow, even possibly slower than Roland Garros !
As a stunning example, the serve & volley rate for men dropped from 33% in 2002 to 5% in 2019 (before the quarter-finals), and 1% for the women..!
I'd like to know what are the average rally lengths of Wimbledon 2019 Federer vs Nadal & Djokovic vs Bautista, and the ones for Roland Garros 2018 & 2019 Nadal vs Thiem.
Would anyone here be able to get their hands on these numbers ? I did a quick search, but official match stats don't report them anymore...
