Ability to take the ball early is not just an ability everyone has by default, you have to learn how to do it well. You cannot judge all players by the fact that one of the best players can do it, really. I don't really see many players playing with this style so it doesn't seem to be such a trouble. (btw maybe Manutoo could provide us with a statistics of different style usage in online games? Could be a nice learn)

I have played Stan as a counter couple of times and what i noticed was that my serve was better then usual but i could not find the right distance from the ball so i can hit it hard enough and not make it powned-puff but also to keep some distance so i dont make an error.Also when i had those easy putaways which i usually rape with my natural PB style i wasn't able to do that or anything close to it as a counter,he stayed in the middle of the court in the back and when i hit the ball he wquld easily reach it.However this is not the case with Le Cheato.Idk what he does but he does it differntly then the others of us that have tried using the counter style

I guess I should say I no longer think counter should be balanced(for now)...I was simply confused by all the different delays and how they affect the game. lol

Personally I think that the counter style is a joke... It is really tedious in the game when you are playing a career against the computer and you are coming up through the ranks. You get to the point where you are able to compete against top ten players, but if the player is a counter then you still can't beat any counter player ranked in the top 50. So my character currently has c1000 points and I have multiple wins agains Graf (1800), Sanchez-V (1700), Martinez (1700), Davenport (1700) etc but Barbara Paulus (1400) and Anke Huber (1300) who are counters beat me easily every time. I can barely win points let alone matches. It is insanely imbalanced. When they have more points and therefore power than you, and you can never hit a ball past them then there is simply no hope.

By the time you get to more points than a counter player then it swings the other way and they can do nothing against you. You always just hit the ball straight past them. There is no nuance, it is never in the balance. You know as soon as you start a match against a computer counter character if you are going to win 6-0 or lose 6-0. It shouldn't be that way.

I'm sure plenty of people play the game not online, so this really isn't just about the online gamers.

I play on master/increadible so I have a good handle on the game.

it's possible the Counter isn't tuned correctly for Women in World Tour (coz they have less power & speed than men) ; could you post a few .Dmo's, I'll have an eye on that.

On men side (and Training Club / Online), it's ok though, coz the Counter has less acceleration power than other styles.

Hi, I would second that remark. Solid counters are my nightmare. Besides, I noticed there are very inconsistent throughout a match. They win 4 games in a row, then I win the next 5, then it's the same story in the tie-break. Well, at least this is extra fun for a computer game.

the inconsistency of the Counter might be due to the fact it's the style that depends the most of its opponent, ie: you ; so if you have a little up or down, it can change a lot of things for him.

I did some deep checking & Women Counters were overpowered, it should be more or less fixed in last Build.

if you notice the problem is still there in last Build, post .dmo from it (don't post .dmo from older Build, though).
