actually, the problem for the weak shot is that the difference between a decent strike and a weak shot is just 1 or 2 tenths of a second. So except if you expect to have only the animation after the ball impact to change, then it won't work well.
The best candidate for easiness is the drop shot... Till we consider the online mode : will it make easier or harder to predict the drop shot ? Will it be necessary to prevent that feature online then ? Or maybe for only some anims and not others ? And the WTSL, with their character-made mode, they may want to incorporate it back, and so on. And I'm super fed up with all these kinds of things. I need to move to other stuff, more fun, more fresh, or else...
