actually, the problem for the weak shot is that the difference between a decent strike and a weak shot is just 1 or 2 tenths of a second. So except if you expect to have only the animation after the ball impact to change, then it won't work well.

The best candidate for easiness is the drop shot... Till we consider the online mode : will it make easier or harder to predict the drop shot ? Will it be necessary to prevent that feature online then ? Or maybe for only some anims and not others ? And the WTSL, with their character-made mode, they may want to incorporate it back, and so on. And I'm super fed up with all these kinds of things. I need to move to other stuff, more fun, more fresh, or else... :suicide:

I mean we can ignore the weak FB/BH if it is too problematic to implement. And for the drop shot or any shot for the matter, if certain modders do not want it, they can not put in the character sheets and just put the forehand slice. After that, if some user manually puts it in their character sheet, then its their loss if it becomes predictable and they can always revert to the forehand slice. It does not seem like that much of a worry unless a user explicitly wants to puts it in his character sheet.
The important thing is if we are given that option, most offline players will take it and maybe some online ones. Ultimately, it will just be an option like the alternative acceleration shot, and I don't think it will have that big of a gameplay impact unless someone chooses to take this option.

And these things wont even matter for the top spin/lob etc. To me, this specific con seems to be only for the drop shot and no other shot, and that too online, where it would be optional.

And I'm super fed up with all these kinds of things. I need to move to other stuff, more fun, more fresh, or else... :suicide:

At the end, its your game. If you don't feel the feature is viable, it probably won't come. We can only discuss so much about the pros and the cons of a potential future. The point of the feature is to shift the load to the animators.
