Could it be implemented one day? A living tennis net!

Hello,

I'd like to do that, I even bought a plugin to handle it a few years ago, but unfortunately, I never got to it so far... :fear:

Something id love to see one day, the lifeless nets take away from the realism a bit!

Tennis games on Android and iOS that are way worse than Tennis Elbow 4, with way less budget, also made by one developer, have net physics. For example [censored].

Should we hope that in the future manu adds this? I mean, is it something that requires multiple days of work, or even weeks?

Nicky Gi.,
are you aware that this comes across as extremely rude?

Comparing features in isolation between games, especially by reducing everything to "another solo dev did it", completely ignores scope, platforms, technical constraints and long-term maintenance.

If I had implemented dynamic nets already, it would simply mean that another feature wouldn’t exist today instead. Which one should I have skipped ? Most of what’s in TE4 comes directly from user feedback, so chances are you’d now be complaining about that missing feature instead.

It’s very welcome to wish for features, as it helps me define priorities, but this is not a constructive way to ask. :sad3:

You’re right, and I’m sorry about how that came across. I didn’t mean to sound disrespectful or to downplay your work. I really enjoy Tennis Elbow 4 and the level of detail it has, and that’s why I’m interested in things like net physics in the first place.

Thanks for taking the time to explain the tradeoffs and how you prioritize features. That makes total sense. Please consider it just a suggestion from a fan of the game, not a complaint.
