In my opinion, the lighting when the sun is positioned in front of the player needs improvement. The difference in visibility when switching ends is far too pronounced. With the sun facing you, tracking the ball becomes extremely difficult.
I’ve attached an image showing how Top Spin 3 (bottom) handled this compared to Tennis Elbow 4 (top). The game should follow the Top Spin 3 approach: there should be some variation in exposure and lighting, but it should remain subtle so that both ends feel visually consistent.
Right now, you can force the sun to stay behind the player, but the shadows flip every time you change ends. The shadows also disappear entirely from one side to the other in certain times of day in some stadiums, which looks odd.
