Tennis Elbow 4 Demo Won’t Launch on Lenovo Yoga 370

Postby Clapko » 22 Nov 2025, 15:20

Hi,

I wanted to test Tennis Elbow 4 on my Lenovo Yoga 370 laptop to see how well it runs before purchasing it during the current discount period. However, after downloading and installing the demo, the game doesn’t start properly.

When I launch it, I only see a loading screen for a few seconds, and then the game closes without any error message.
A Tennis Elbow 4 loading window appears with the text:
"Tennis Elbow 4 - Unity 2021.3.38f1_7a2fa5d8d101"
It shows the TE4 logo with a red exclamation mark icon above it and a green loading bar underneath. After a few seconds, the window closes automatically.

Is there anything I can try to fix this issue? I would like to test the demo before buying the full version.

Thanks in advance!

Hello,

there should be a crash folder with info about the crash here : %APPDATA%/../LocalLow/Mana Games/Tennis Elbow 4/Crashes (equivalent to C:/Users/[YourUserName]/AppData/LocalLow/Mana Games/Tennis Elbow 4/Crashes )

Would you be able to send it to me by email to : contact (at) managames -dot- com ..?

Otherwise, try to reboot, and if still not ok, try to update your GPU drivers.

Hey manutoo,

I have no crashing folder there. GPU drive is up to date, it's a Intel HD Graphics 620.

Someone else reported that issue, and actually there was a corrupted file on the server.

Delete this file : C:/Games/Tennis Elbow 4 - Demo/Game/Tennis Elbow 4_Data/Managed/UnityEngine.GIModule.dll

Then launch the "TE4 - Demo Patcher" again, and it should be fine.

Thank you manutoo. It's working now. I'm testing that my computer is capable to handle it or not.

Hi, the game runs, but it's barely playable. I'm only getting around 30 FPS. Is there any way to close or disable everything in the game that might be draining performance so the system focuses only on running it? I've already set everything to minimum and turned off the crowd, and the only thing left that I can still lower is the resolution.

if you have an intel integrated graphics you'll struggle to play almost anything that's rendered in 3d so maybe try playing with 2d enabled in the advanced video settings

Clapko,
as Jira, if not already done, try to activate Settings -> Video -> Advanced -> 2D Background.
