Match Simulation

Postby Dj26442644 » 20 Nov 2025, 06:11

Hello!

I have two questions about the simulation of matches in world tours, because it often happens to me that there are unrealistic upsets:

1) Is there a way to force the result of a match by already saying who has to win?

2) What are the attributes that the game takes into account when simulating the result of a match, can they be modified in the Player.ini?

Thanks for the reply

Hello,

1) yes, but only if you have TEM2 activated within TE4 ; in such a case, you have change this line in your Tennis.ini, under [CpuMatch], from :
EnterScore = 0
to :
EnterScore = 1
(HowTo => topic19-32161.php )
And then watch in Text mode the CPU match you want, and click on Enter score.

2) The easiest way is to raise the current RankPerYear so the player will be stronger overall. A little tutorial to get you started : topic60-35939.php
You could also raise their Concentration and Consistency skills to lower their chance of having a bad day.

I can’t activate TEM2 on console right? It’s a PC only feature?

Yes.

Maybe it'll come to consoles in the future.

Hi manutoo and thank you: the game is crazy, too good. I'm on PS5 and would like a more credible career, there are too many upsets, is there anything I can do to improve the situation?

Thank you so much, I found those hidden settings... what are the parameters in particular that I have to change to almost always see Sinner or Alcaraz win, for example?
My journey to the best sports game ever must be perfect hahaha

I changed the skillnormatp, but unfortunately, not only do the values change in the simulation, but also those on the field, and consequently the gameplay is significantly affected. Are there any other solutions on consoles? Thanks for your patience.

If you want just a few players not being beaten, the 1st thing would be to check that their Concentration and Constancy are high enough (ie: 90+%), so they have very few bad days, and when they happen, they are not too bad. (See here = > topic60-35939.php )

If gameplay-wise it's ok with you, then you could also raise their RankPerYear, so they'd be stronger, and set them as strong #1 & 2 in the future years if needed.

Check also this topic to change only the Stress handling when a player play against a weaker player : topic54-2597.php . Lower stress => shorter matches => save more energy for important matches.

It's a little more time-consuming, but I think the best way to get realistic results for simulated matches is to go into each match as CPU vs CPU, then click "Fast Forward to End of Match". It will take a few seconds to go through to the end of the match, but you'll get the result that would've happened if you'd played the match through, rather than just simulated it.

I find using that method gives far more realistic results than just simulating.

You're right, I've tried several times and the results are credible and the tournaments are more beautiful and realistic... in the meantime I forgot how to play and using Nadal I lost to the number 178 of the ranking ahahahahah... anyway thanks, doing cpu vs cpu changes everything.

No worries, glad you found it useful! The process of individually entering and fast-forwarding every match you don't want to take part in does add a few minutes extra to the completion of every tournament, but it will definitely give you more realistic results overall, while still including the occasional upset win. I'd say the upsets are at a more realistic frequency though, when compared to just simulating the match results.
