Setting for realistic game

Postby Srikanth » 05 Nov 2025, 02:24

hi, I am trying to make the game more realistic by making more errors for myself and the cpu player. The gameplay is good and the match level is also good and competent for players with equivalent skills. The scores are competitive which makes it interesting to play. The only issue I have is the ratio of winners to errors. In a realistic game there should be more errors. Like 1 winner is to 2 errors (including Forced and unforced errors). But in TE4 the winners are way more. The best I have been able to get is 1 winner to 1 error. And that too only on clay. Number of winners in grass is way higher. I tried changing the precision of players, speed, stamina, Mtrun acceleration and mtrun speed, precision_elite, diffx_elite. But not able to achieve more errors. I tried changing sweetspotradius to a lower value and sweetspotscale to a higher value. But that does not do anything.

Is there anyway to make the game more realistic by making more errors? I play on world tour and elite mode.

Thanks!!

Hello,

you'll have trouble raising the error rate that high : there's no pure execution error in TE4. (except for the CPU under the Junior-10 level)

Maybe you could lower a lot the precision for the Elite controls, but then the CPU might not behave correctly : it might get extra cautious all the time. And you'd have to tune many other things to make the gameplay interesting on your side.

I don't know how to achieve your goal through changing the setting, but if you'd like to try to change your play style it may work.

Me and my opponents' winner/UE are around 1:2(on simulation mode, WTA incredible-5 difficulty), I think being a CounterPuncher is a good choice, and the average rally won't be very long like being a Defender or Counter. I like 1)shoting cross short strike + 2)slicing down the line combo. It often makes my opponents produce UEs. Making more short strikes is a good way to mess the opponents' gravity center.
